We've just returned from a wonderful ten days on this lovely site. Michael is a very welcoming host, there's plenty of space, it's easy to get to and there's even a loo and shower in the farm buildings. Plenty to do for all ages around. The local church is interesting, and for more historical interest there's Framlingham Castle and church, plus various English Heritage and National Trust sites. There's a local children's farm and also the Suffolk Punch Trust Centre if you like heavy horses. Great beaches at Southwold and Walberswick, or if you are a little more adventurous, try the National Trust beach (shingle) at Dunwich where it's easy to park, there are clean toilets and a good tea shop. Also Aldeburgh.
Thank you Michael and Gill for a really lovely holiday.
Owner is friendly, welcoming and very helpful even when we needed assistance with a dud battery. The site is a good size and the toilets and shower of a usual CL standard (short walk to the farmyard). Water, waste emptying and information hut were on site. Also, very sheltered site and very quiet when nearby farms are not cutting wheat or grass. Plenty of wildlife and good footpaths. Unfortunately, nearby Charsfield no longer has a pub or shop, but further afield is the excellent Chequers Inn at Kettleburgh and the White Horse at Easton. Overall, a wonderful 9 days away. Recommended.
We booked this site so that we would be near a wedding that we were attending. We had a long journey and Mike could not have been more welcoming, guiding us in and helping us sort ourselves out. The site is beautifully kept and set in tranquil countryside in a picturesque, rural area. We definitely plan to return.
A quiet field just beyond the farmhouse and paddock with views across fields and huge skies. Friendly owner and good, clean facilities. Eggs and local honey available to buy. On the No.1 cycle route, which we made good use of with trips to Framlingham, Sutton Hoo and the coast. Stayed 4 nights. Would have happily stayed longer. Hope to return soon.
Having just spent the bank holiday weekend on this site, my husband, 2 dogs and I, wished we were staying for longer!
It is the most peaceful, relaxing site we have ever stayed on. The field and all facilities are very well kept. There is plenty of room between pitches and the site leads out to lots of amazing countryside walks.
The area is close to lots of great places to visit ie Sutton Hoo, Woodbridge and Framlingham.
Mr & Mrs Lloyds are very welcoming and friendly, with lots of information about the area and their farm. They really are a fascinating couple!
We will definitely be returning here, staying longer and doing many more wonderful walks.
Stayed here with our motorhome at the end of July 2014. Very quiet, peaceful and well kept. The owner Mike was very welcoming. We would definitely return. We visited Sutton Hoo and Woodbridge which is a beautiful little town with proper shops - such a delight. The Tide Mill is also well worth a visit.
Enjoyed a great weekend (4 nights) here.
Warm welcome from owner Mike every day the horse came to see us. Grandchildren loved it.
You won’t be disappointed if you visit.
Wake up to birds singing and the peaceful harmony of a very rural area. Local footpaths from the site take you on a jaunt with lovely views. Lots of wildlife. We've seen deer and hares.
Would recommend. Lovely owners.
This CL is really quite special. Besides benefitting from being in the very heart of the Suffolk Countryside with all its lovely pubs, restaurants and access to the beautiful towns, villages and seaside it is just a place to get away.
As someone who needs to take special care during this pandemic I was very impressed by the fact the site was well marked out with good spacious pitches giving plenty of distance between the vans. Communal facilities are kept spotlessly clean and sanitiser is present to help you keep germ free. You could happily self isolate here without any fear whatsoever.
Mike is quite charming and happy to help you in where to go etc and also to tell you the history of his life on Seven Spa Farm which is a journey in itself.
There are lovely walks nearby and, if you are lucky, small herds of deer can be seen crossing the fields. Buzzards taunted by crows fly overhead and Susie the horse always has a welcome for anyone offering food.
Just a lovely place to be. I'm going again on Friday.
