This is a lovely CL with easy access to the coast and also lovely attractions such as Rievaulx Abbey not too far away either. Spotlessly clean toilet and shower (you need £1 coins for the shower). Welcoming hosts. For us, there were only 2 drawbacks. Firstly, the field is large but we were allocated a pitch that felt quite on top of a neighbouring caravan. There were only two caravans in at the time. We'd have preferred to choose our own pitch like most CLs do (in our experience), so that we weren't on top of someone else and also because we aren't that great at manoevring our caravan. Secondly, the distressing sound of pigs in a transporter one morning. This was about 6.30 a.m. and went on for an hour. Of course, we knew this was a working farm - most CLs are - but found this incident particularly unpleasant. Perhaps not the ideal place if you're vegetarian or sensitive. Other than that, it was a lovely stay.
