This site is very easy to find and just off the main A43. There is a petrol station with Waitrose just down the road and an Aldi across the main road.
The site is peaceful and 1 half is all trees, perfect for walking the dog and with a new housing estate backing on to the other half. The facilities are all clearly marked and well kept.
It is a good basic site with a beautiful village nearby. In the village are convenience stores, a chip shop and a couple of pubs. We found The Artichoke to be the most welcoming and friendly. Allowing dogs in and providing lovely food.
The downside to the area for us is the off road walking/rambling. We enjoy heading out across country following public footpaths for a good few miles. Unfortunately there are very few public footpaths and the ones we did find didn't link up to others or were totally impassable.
We enjoyed our short break here and would recommend it to others.
Peace & Quiet
We have just returned from a very relaxing weekend here. We had torrential rain all day yesterday but because we were on a hardstanding there was minimal mess. The signage on arrival is good and the surrounding roads easy. Care needs to be taken once entering the CL as the gateway is a little snug but we managed with our large single axle. Once in, you feel like you're in a glade away from civilization. In fact there are houses right behind it but we heard nothing from them. The water, recycling and toilet disposal points were all clean and well maintained and the owner was easy to communicate with over email during our stay to arrange payment. You can walk around the immediate woodland which is excellent for dogs, but we chose to walk to Sywell aerodrome for a cuppa. Lovely bars and restaurants there. We then also walked back to Moulton and found a great little pub called The Artichoke. Dog friendly and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend this site if you like peace and quiet. There's an Aldi and a small Waitrose nearby as well as a petrol station, so everything you need is in reach.
STEALTH CL
I did 1 night here a few days ago and thought what a great little STEALTH CL.You would'nt know it was there but still got shops, petrol, pub very close.I will be returning.
Travelling South
We stayed for one night as a stopover on our way home from Yorkshire. Very peaceful little site, had everything we needed.
Phil's son, Louis, was extremely helpful when we arrived and got us settled in. Would thoroughly recommend.
Great hideaway
What a treasure - once you're settled in, it feels like being in the depths of a wood, lovely and peaceful with good walking for our greyhound and a thoughtfully provided fenced off area for dogs to wander free in. The entrance is clearly marked with a big CL sign and all the facilities are well laid out. Our motorhome was no problem to manoeuvre in the available space but we did skid a bit on the grassy area as a car had parked on what perhaps should be designated a 'turning only' hard section -the bit that backs into the woods. If you get a chance, do visit this site, it really is well worth it.
Nice site but little snug
the arrivel to this site is down a lane inbetween two property. the site its self was lovley (old xmas tree farm) so has lots of green area although there is a new build housing estate behind the site overlooking you.
The only concern i had was the area for manovering onto the pitch got very stug for my outfit (discovery 3 and twin axal caravan), if you had a slightly smaller outfit this would not be an issue.
A cracking little CL
I am very loathed to give this CL a glowing review, because it may well get too busy for when we wish to visit again, as we undoubtedly would wish to do. This is a cracking little CL. Each pitch has it's own electric hook up and each is in an area of it's own amongst the trees, (a now disused Christmas tree plantation). The site was easy to locate with a large 'CL' sign to point the way. It was very quiet and peaceful, with no road noise to spoil the experience. When we arrived and during pitching up, the site owner, Phil, came along introduced himself in a friendly manner and informed us where all facilities were located to make our stay. The only draw back, (and not one that will prevent us from returning), is that the 'washroom/ toilet' only has cold water. For this reason alone I have awarded the CL 4* as opposed to 5* BUT we will definitely return and recommend the site to anyone. You will not be disappointed.

Very peaceful
Just a single night stopover on this extremely quiet campsite. Grassed areas with nice pitches and no issue with the power supplies or entry with out outfit. Nice access from M1 and good for a stopover

First stay
This was our first stay at a CL after 15 years of caravaning and it showed us what we have been missing. Very pleasant site, good facilities and very peaceful. Would have no hesitation in recommending this site.
Nice site for a short stay
This is a nice site run by a pleasant, helpful couple.
Ideal for visiting the Northampton/Wellingborough area.
