We arrived on site on a glorious sunny day in early July. The pitches on site are a bit of a challenge and really need levelling. We have a caravan and the only pitches which were suitable for an awning were on the right hand side, which meant we were not able to take advantage of the fabulous views down the Lune valley. Plenty of taps and disposal grids for grey water. We eventually saw the owner when I walked up to the farm to make payment, a visit to us whilst we were on site would have been nicer. The road to the site is essentially only used by farm traffic so apart from tractors and the odd lorry, it was very quiet. The instructions in the 2021/22 book were misleading (never found the Lune Valley Smokehouse and the new owner of the site didn't know where it was either!), but hopefully the new young owners will correct this.
