Pros and Cons
Let’s get the cons out of the way first - unfortunately we didn’t have a warm welcome, or see the owner at all (because of COVID I imagine) just a notice on the gate asking us to park and put the money through the letterbox. This is understandable eg as someone may have been ‘shielded’.
The B3135 running alongside the site is quite busy for a B road. This site is advertised as having WiFi, but WiFi was only available on 1 or 2 pitches, so if WIFI is a must for you I wouldn’t advise it until the current system is boosted. The phone signals also were intermittent, as mentioned by other guests too.
In fairness I should say that Mrs Smith had said on the phone that we could have the pitch nearest to the house where the signal is more likely to reach, however the privacy is better at the hard standing pitch further away and not near to the farm houses/buildings. We chose that because rain was forecast. I had always assumed (obviously in error) that if a CL is advertised as having WiFi that it would cover all 5 pitches.
Now for the Pros - the site is high up on top of the Mendip Hills, it has beautiful views and the television signal is perfect. The field is flat and well mown.
