A little gem

A fantastic CL that has lots going for it. The site itself is very well maintained and overlooks a sheep field. There are a couple of little shops in the village for essential supplies, the pub at the end of the road is good value, serves good food and is dog friendly (and will even do takeaways) and there is a convenient bus service into New Quay if you don't want to drive (parking isn't expensive but apparently gets full quickly in peak season) Hadn't visited New Quay before and went to see the dolphins, who didn't disappoint, coming quite close to the harbour wall at high tide in pursuit of fish. The Lime crab near the harbour does a very nice fish and chips and sitting eating them while watching the dolphins playing and the sun going down over the sea was one of the highlights of the holiday. The coast path around here isn't quite as spectacular as Pembrokeshire but is still very nice and you can use the Cardi Bach (local minibus service) from New Quay to little villages up or down the coast, then walk back to the starting point.
