A GEM OF A SITE ON THE SHOTLEY PENINSULAR

The site's website says just about everything you need to know from places of local interest right down to the wonderful village shop. What the website doesn't tell you is the wonderful welcome you will receive from the owners, the fact they have time and enjoy meeting you in person in fact have all the qualities that make this a very special site to you all a Big Big Thank You. When you visit take the opportunity to walk to some of the churches mentioned in the leaflet in the site information hut. A round trip to Harkstead, to Erwarton then back across the fields is a day's walk of about 8 miles and can be done in about 4 hrs. The bus service is every 1and1/2 hrs either towards Freston or into Shotley which is quite good for rural Suffolk. From our point of view it is a site to return to. Again thank you for such a lovely site and walm welcome.
