We have used this site several times as it is near the ferry (Birkenhead) to Ireland. Using the ferry means site arrivals and departures at most irregular hours. The owners could not be more helpful. Well done.
The site has easy access to numerous quiet woodland walks and cycle routes. However if you drive off the hill in a few miles you can access Liverpool and Chester.
All pitches are level despite the steep slope on site and facilities are convenient.
The site is well sheltered by mature hedges and well maintained.
We plan to visit again.
A quiet and sheltered location. There is plenty of space and good level hard standings. It is worth taking the outfit via the farmhouse and then it is easier to reverse on to the pitch.
The road from Frodsham is narrow, has potholes and attracts fast drivers. It is OK if you drive with extra care.
There is only one negative comment and that is to mention the farmer's own ancient caravan, which occupies one pitch. It did not appear to have moved for a while and although used by the farmer, does cause problems with the five van limit.
Overall, we would be happy to use this peaceful C.L. again.
