Quiet and relaxing

Planned to stay overnight on our way back from Nottingham, it was so relaxing and friendly we stayed another night. Great location with easy access to beaches and the village pub. Large area for camping and clean facilities, can't wait for the grandchildren to break up from school and return here for a weekend or longer.

lovely

Just come back from 5 nights on this lovely site.  Really enjoyed our time here. Huge field with electric and water points on 3 sides. We put a double cable on and sat in a lovely corner.  If you like shade make sure you're under a tree otherwise there isn't any. The grass was longish, but the man came over 2 days and cut it with his tractor, obviously wasn't able to do round the vans tho.  Toilets were lovely and clean.  Will be going back very soon!

Nice CL but?

Had five nights at this CL in September its a lovely spacous field although the grass needed cutting, great the fact that you can walk into village, local pub is friendly.Owner of site is very helpfull and all round it could be a very nice site with a little more maintenance, in the five nights we stayed the toilets/ showers were never cleaned apart from by people on site who used them which is a shame because it takes the edge off a nice place.

rainbow cl site

we stayed here for a weeks holiday in february 2013. it has got a male and female toilet with a hand basin and power shower in each one. there is plenty of space in the field, and the pitches are well spaced apart. the views are quite good with some ponys in one field. and the largest stone circle in the east of england. there is a pub and local shop about five minutes walk. and a large caravan spares shop about 10 minutes walk away wich is very handy. there is BP garage, McDs a short drive away. very good for Clacton, Frinton & Naze. electric hook up is 16 amp very good. price was £12 with EHU and £10 without. all in all very good and we will be useing again.

Lovely site, toilets & showers clean, 4 acre so pleanty of space if only dog owners would keep their dogs on a lead, as I do, but this is the dog owners fault not the sites as there are notices asking you to keep dogs on leads. If you have a larger van there can be a problem getting on & off field as it is a tight turn.
