Lovely Site

We stopped here on our way back from Inverness just for one night but would definitely like to come again. The site is lovely, a lot of time, thought and effort has been put in to the site. The owner was helpful with information about the area and we enjoyed a lovely walk on the path on the site., we are just sorry we couldn't spend more time on this site. Thank you for providing such a lovely CL.

Good overnight stop

We made an overnight stop at Powmill. It is a very well set up and well kept CL with a nice toilet/shower facility. There is also a lovely little dog walk in the grounds which is also well maintained by the owner. It is all hard standing and ideal for motorhomers although the pitches might be a little tight for a longer stay with, say, a large caravan and awning.

Great site

Great site in a smashing area, the shower and toilet block is very good. We enjoyed breakfast in the milk bar a couple of mornings and it is excellent. David the owner is an A1 guy. Wish we lived closer we would definitely use the site regularly. All the best for the future. Regards Phil & Cynth Barker.

Not so quiet

This is a well maintained site in a pleasant location. The down side is traffic noise with quite a busy road near the site entrance and a track running at the rear of the of the pitches which seems to have an unreasonable amount of fast traffic. The other downside is not the increase in site fees, but being told that if you use more electricity than the site owner thinks you should you will be charged more at the end of your stay.

All a CL should be.

Very easy to get to and easy access, keep your speed down or like me you might miss the entrance. Friendly welcome from David the owner and a wee bit of banter. The views out front of the Ochils is brilliant. With only the 5 units on site there was never any problem accessing the toilet/shower facilities. Shower is a £1 via the honesty box. Just across the road is the famous milk bar and it's true what they say about the coffee and cake. There is a wee bit of road noise from the main road but this did not disturb us. A walk along the Rumbling Bridge gorge is a must. Next time I hope the pub is open. Thank you David for this CL, we will be back and hopefully soon.

Weekend escape

We found this great little site by chance and enjoyed a 2 night stay in November 2020. Pitches were perfect for our campervan and a central location for exploring the area. Not that we travelled far to reach Powmill only 10 miles but travel restrictions changed our original plans. Visited Kinross and Cupar, breakfast in the Powmill milk bar then a lovely fresh pizza for dinner. Our welcome to the site was perfect, fresh eggs available, excellent facilities and a lovely view. Plenty walks for the dogs so all in all a great weekend. Thanks we will be back soon.

A Lovely Two Night Stay

We chose Powmill to try out our new campervan and awning as it is quite close to home. We were not disappointed. We were met by the owner David and later met his wife Karen. They were both friendly and welcoming and they have a Motorhome themselves. The site has 5 hard standing pitches in a row with an unrestricted view across the hills. The CL has the usual facilities with the addition of a small toilet and shower room. You need 2 x 50 pence pieces for a 15 minute shower. There is local information and an honesty box to pay for eggs from their own hens. The site is well maintained and there is a wooded walk down to a river. Might be a bit steep for those less able. There are local walks in lovely countryside and it is within walking distance to a local shop and the Milk Bar restaurant who have a Pizza outlet too. A bit further walk takes you to the Rumbling Bridge Gorge. Despite being close to home we felt we were away somewhere different and we would use it again. There is a bit of road noise from the nearby A977 but it does quieten down considerably in the evenings. The only thing lacking was a drive over waste point for motorhomes so take a container for grey waste. We will return to do more walking.
