We stayed for 5 nights at this wonderful CL site. We were on hardstanding pitch number 3, which was spacious and also secluded, next to a field of cows......we thought it was perfect and very scenic. We loved it. We had a bit of trouble finding the site as the postcode takes you to a dirt track near Nidd Valley Business Park, however the entrance to Port Arthur Farm CL site is opposite Lingerfield Business Park, so if you are going to this CL for the first time, aim for Lingerfield Business Park and you will then see the sign for Port Arthur Farm on the opposite side of the road. The owner Graham was very welcoming. There is a block with 2 toilets and a good sized shower, plus a sink with hot water for washing up, and everything was kept very clean and tidy, there was always toilet roll and hand soap. There was also lots of local information available. Great location for exploring the area. We walked it into Knaresborough one day, through Scotton, which was about 2.5 miles. Or to avoid parking charges and heavy traffic going into Knaresborough, we parked for free on Scriven Road and from there it was an easy 5 -10 minute walk into the town. We'd recommend market day on Wednesdays in Knaresborough - lots of fab stalls. We will definitely return to this CL site, as we had a brilliant stay.
