Peaceful site. Perfect location. Easily located with fabulous views.

We stayed for 4 nights in an 8metre Motorhome. Access very easy. Elevated level pitches. Beautiful views over Oxwich Bay. The bus stops regularly at the entrance to the site. We took the motorhome to Rosilli on a couple of occasions to the National Trust car park and enjoyed beautiful coastal walks there. Parking fees £10 all day. Perriswood is an ideal central location to explore The Gower. Definitely one to return to. 👍

Excellent Site, Wonderful Views,

We stayed for 7 nights in August and loved every minute. Each pitch is fully serviced with wonderful elevated views over Oxwich Bay. The toilets are clean and tidy and are available 24 hours a day. The site owners are very friendly and any concerns are dealt with very quickly. The additional archery and falconry on site just added to the overall enjoyment of our stay. The onsite cafe is also very handy should you not wish to prepare your own food. We will defiantly be returning to Perriswood in the future.

Disappointed

Recently returned from 5 nights on this site. On the plus side, if Cls were judged solely on their view this site would be among the top ones. Each pitch has EHU, a water tap and grey water disposal point and there is direct access onto Cefn Byrn. On the negative side the pitches have been elevated and access is by three narrow ramps. The layout of the pitches means that with a car, caravan and awning side by side there is not much outside space for BBQs etc. One pitch is side on the the others and one evening we had the front of a motorhome 9ft from our side windows. The upkeep of the site is poor. The toilets are shared with a wedding venue and for the whole of our stay a half empty beer glass and an empty beer bottle were in one of the ladies' WC, presumably from the last wedding. Paper remained strewn across the floor and several toilets had no toilet paper. The chemical toilet emptying manhole has no hosepipe to flush down resulting in solids building up in the corners and nettles are growing round the manhole. Of two rubbish bins, one had no lid resulting in animals raiding them at night, leaving rubbish on the floor. Nice location, but site in need of some attention.

Very friendly owner

We have just come back from a 4 night stay at this cl site and enjoyed every minute. The views across the bay are stunning and the site offers so many other attractions and activities, including archery and falconry. The falconry display was incredible with the opportunity to hold the birds and ask questions throughout. It has a lovely gift shop and cafe, offering delicious cakes and pizza. This location also has a beautiful wedding marquee, so if you are looking to plan a wedding in this area, you may want to have a closer look, especially as there are some glamping pods as well as caravan/motorhome pitches. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. We look forward to returning again soon and discovering more of this amazing area. Thank you to all the staff.

Amazing Sea Views

Our first CL site stay and what a great site to start with. Friendly owners, fully serviced hardstanding pitch. Such a peaceful location with a view of Oxwich Bay which is a five minute drive in the car. Great central location for exploring the Gower, wish we could have stayed longer, we will be back.

Lovely site, lovely view, lovely location, lovely owners

Very generously sized for five units, all with a gorgeous view down over Oxwich Bay, and across to North Devon on a clear day. It's a great spot for cycling or walking and as a base for visiting all of the Gower's stunning nearby sights. The site has easy access to the beautiful Gower Way for miles of scenic walking. It's a welcome boon to have toilets on a CL too. It's a peaceful rural location which not only suited a mature couple like us, but also seemed to make younger families happy from what we saw. There's a pleasant tea room on site, and bird of prey displays and archery lessons (not together - no shooting at the birds!), all of which is worth a go. The owners are the nicest people and couldn't be more friendly, helpful or accommodating. We felt very at home here for our five night stay, and would strongly urge you to give the place a try.

Fantastic views on friendly site

We arrived in our motorhome after days of rain in the Gower leaving everywhere sodden. The owner could not have been more helpful in finding a suitable pitch for us. The views are outstanding, the cafe sold delicious cakes and scones and little pigs are adorable. The falconry display is fascinating and you can do archery with a fantastic view or indoors if the weather is inclement. The coast path is close by and the beaches are incredible. We didn’t take our vehicle offsite the whole time we were there. The owner was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We were sad to leave this little site.

My best cl site so far.

What a fantastic site this is. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely weekend here. Kids really enjoyed and they really enjoyed looking at the animals and stroking the horses. Our oldest boys also had a go at archery which he loved. The views from this site are amazing and we was lucky enough to enjoy them during a warm sunny weekend. We was also lucky enough to meet a celebrity here. It was Major (the owners dog)......... He's the 2nd tallest dog in the world. He's like a BFG. He was so gentle. The site has good access and the site is well maintained. We will be back. In fact truth be told...... We didn't want to leave.

Pigs a bonus

Stayed on this CL only one night and wish we had discovered it earlier. Lovely large field with electrics and bins across the top and water at the bottom. A bit of a slope but OK for us. The view was wonderful until another motorhome arrived and decided that parking to park in front of us and take his electric lead across the field, and take our view away. Pay at the office for the Falconry, where the toilets are and the cafe. The pets corner, with tiny pigs were a bonus. Lovely site and will be back.

Sea Views

5 nights at the end of May, when the sun shone and there was no rain on the horizon. Be very wary of your sat-nav. We sailed past the entrance and got stuck up an a nearby dirt track which lead nowhere. Read the clearly written directions. Once on the slightly sloping grassy pitch everything was on hand, bar a shower. Individual electric and a shared single water point. Very reasonable at £12/night. There is a pleasantly sited cafe next to the Archery and Falconry Centre, all of which is a novelty to be experienced. If accompanied by a pet dog, the very busy, narrow coastal road could present a problem, unless the dog is extreemly well behaved, on a short lead or even small enough to be carried. Walk single file and be prepared to stop. Access to the beautiful sandy bay is, by foot, across this busy road. It is well worth the short walk in good weather, but be careful. Recommended in good weather.
