Fantastic views.

A beautiful location for views however the only downside was the grass was very bare which meant the very orange mud got everywhere. There wasn’t any information available on the area which would have been helpful .There is a very modern, well appointed and very clean shower building although we didn’t need it so it was a little expensive per night for our needs.A geat place for any golfers as it’s right by a beautiful golf course.

Great CL with views of the Brecon Beacons

A lovely site on the edge of the golf course with clear views of the surrounding beacons. The shower block is modern and clean although shared with the glamping pods but I didn't meet anyone else when I used it. The field is slightly sloping in places so you may need levelling blocks. From the right turn by the golf club access is good but signage isn't clear, look for the 68deg West signs and follow those till you see the site on your right at the top of the hill.

OUTSTANDING & HELPFUL

Didn't know quite what to expect from this site being situated within a golf course, but it soon becomes clear there is no worries the owners of this site welcome you and give you all the help needed to settle in. Fantastic views with peaceful surroundings and more than enough sanitiser stations, gloves, hand wash etc located around the site where needed. Communication was excellent with immediate replies to all our enquiries and messages. a good welcome and "banter" from Louis who makes you feel welcome and gladly gives an insight into the family business and farms ethos. Shame we didn't have a long stay but will soon revisit for longer. Well done Pentwyn Farm and good luck in your business! Paul & Zoe

Idyllic

Quite simply a five star site in a five star location with superb views and the best shower and WC facilities we have experienced on any site ever. Warm and friendly welcome, relaxed atmosphere, one could easily run out of superlatives describing this fabulous CL

Must be one of the best CL's in the country!

Just had an amazing weekend at this CL. Previous review is right - the picture cannot do justice to the amazing view, it's just stunning. Grass mown, water right behind 'van and 5 star toilets and shower facilities shared with glamping pods. Even shampoo, conditioner and shower gel provided! We ate at the very friendly and welcoming Cradoc Golf Club on two nights. Extremely good value 'pub grub'. Sat on the terrace with a drink and enjoyed the view. There was only us (and the sheep!) . This young couple are providing gold standard facilities and would highly recommend!

Great site, lovely welcoming owners!

This is a great site all be it slightly sloping. Lewis & Rachel are a young very welcoming couple and allow you to site either at the top of the field on the marked pitches or as we did by the bottom fence where there is also electric. This is only their second year of operating since the erection of the toilet & shower block and 2 original glamps were built. As previously mentioned there is some early morning noise from the farm track running along side but that shouldnt detract from the fantastic location with views to die for.The photo on this website is old and doesnt do the site justice. The facilities are first class and very modern as shared with the glamping pods on adjacent area, immaculately clean too. Minor issue if youre on site 3 or 4 was that the fresh water point is right behind the caravans, also despite us tying our dog on a long leash other caravanners let their dogs roam free and anywhere (3 caravans) this is not fair to others without dogs and needs addressing! Finally a major gripe........during our stay of 10 nights, tents were allowed onto the CL area, at least 6 for 2 of the nights we were there! Lewis said he had license for upto 10! The CL sign states ' Members Only! '

Comment from the CL Team:

Many thanks for your review and we are delighted you had a wonderful time at Pentwyn Farm. We have sent a CL Advisor to the site to clearly outline the Club’s policy as we take reports of this nature very seriously. The CL owners have advised that they will not let tents onto their site again in the future and will ensure they only ever have 5 outfits on site at all times. If you ever have any concerns in the future please email the cl team clresponse@camc.com

Rural site with great views to Brecons

Good CL site, wide views across open countryside. Spent 3 enjoyable nights here in our caravan in June. Grassy, gently sloping elevated site, open on 2 sides, lovely views across to Brecons. Golf club fairway next door (behind screen of trees) and sheep grazed next to site some of the time. Red kites fly overhead. 5 plots at top end of site, all grass apart from gravel access track. Clean, well-appointed, very modern washroom block (toilets, showers etc) shared with adjacent glamping pods site the owners also run. Good idea to avoid plot next to farm track as occasional farm traffic does rattle by, but this is basically a quiet, rural and well kept site. Would recommend.

beautiful, excellent showers and great walks

well; Molton Brown soap in the shower block, need i say more!! this place has perfect services, excellent views and possibly the best site we have ever stayed on. ignore the issue with the landline and persist with the mobile phone and texts, it is worth the extra work. the site is on a slight slope so you will need ramps to level but that is the only thing i can say in anyway negative, oh, yes, turn up by the golf entry, no sign post.

No response

As previous reviewer found, landline number “not recognised”, left message on mobile number but no response. So I don’t know what the site is like

What an absolute gem of a campsite. Beautifully peaceful, fantastic scenery and spotless facilities.

If you have never stayed on a CL before then this is the one to try first. The site is spotless with very modern facilities (even shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are provided). The site is spacious and peaceful with lovely views; the perfect location for exploring the Brecon Beacons and beyond. Access to the campsite is very easy (even for our 8.25m caravan) - take the right hand lane as you turn by the golf course and follow the track up. In Brecon you can visit the cathedral, walk along the tow path of the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, shop, or have a meal in The Bank restaurant (10% discount for Caravan Club members). Lewis and Rachel are the perfect hosts and you can even have fresh eggs delivered to your door. We will definitely be returning.
