We stayed at Penpol for a few nights in July. Â It was perfect. Â
Although there are no photos of the site, be reassured that you will have a wonderful sheltered and peaceful setting amongst the trees of a lovely orchard.
The owner (Nick) could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Well of the beaten track but you have easy access to all the local tourist attractions. Â
And we can heartily recommend a visit to The Old Quay Inn (in Devoran about five minutes drive away) where we had two lovely meals.
We were so taken with this site that we have changed our plans for August to go back for another stay.
A lovely peaceful site
We arrived mid afternoon and were greeted by the owner who was very helpful and showed us to our pitch and asked if we needed any help to set up. We had plenty of room on our pitch to set up our awning and water tap and toilet waste empty were close to hand. This site is very peaceful, surrounded by trees and set in a valley. The roads to the site are quite narrow, but if you are careful,no problem. We also found it is a good walking area as we had two dogs.We will return again in the future, many thanks. From both of us in Somerset
A lovely peaceful setting
We were greeted by the friendly owner on arrival and shown to our pitch (motorhomes on the lower pitch on the site)
Electric and water very close and wc disposal very easy to use. The area is a delight with the fal estuary virtually on your doorstep. A walk along the old tramway to loe beach café is a must as is cycling the coast to coast cycle route to portreath on the mineral tramway from the site. If you love reading there are telephone box book exchanges at Chycoose and Feock. We will return soon.
Another Gem
This is a beautiful CL, in a very tranquil setting. We arrived without booking and were made very welcome. If you want a site that offers a break away from it all, this is the place to visit as long as you are content to do without tv and mobile phones are we are. It really offers a relaxing break away from it all. We found a lot of good walks for the dogs straight from the site, either along the bridle way on the site or over the bridge along the creek. We shall definitely be visiting again.

Couldn't be better!
Patty and George have been twice this year already... and will be back at least once more before the year is out! Warm welcome, owner ensured we pitched with ease and, although we had our own itinerary, he advised of local spots not to be missed. Complete relaxation.

We will return
First of all, follow site directions, not your sat nav as it brings you spot on. The road before the site is narrow and you may have a bit of a squeeze if a similar vehicle is coming the other way, that is before the stone bridge into the cl.
Site is terraced and owner is a great source of information. Pitches are level and easy to get into, set amongst fruit trees and each has its own bin.
Go out of the site, over the bridge and turn along the lane by the river and after about a mile there is a pub on the right, lots of cyclists on this.
Go out of the site, back up to the main road, turn left and first right and your on your way to King Harry ferry, Trellisick (NT) for a cuppa.
This is lovely cl and I hope not many of you visit it as we want to be able to go again with ease of booking! Recommend
Cracking CL
We stayed here for 8 nights in July 2013. The owner was a lovely chap, very welcoming and helpful in pitching the van and had plenty of useful information on the site and surrounding area. The pitches are large and grassed set amonst fruit trees, each having their own character due to the terraced nature of the site and had nice touches such as your own bin and picnic table. The site is well situated for both coasts and is set in lovely green countryside yetnonly 10 minutes from the shops in Truro. Plenty of dog walks down to the estuary or up a bridalway that actually runs through the site. Phone and tv reception is poor and a directional tv ariel is necessary as the status wasn't good enough. All in all an immaculately kept, well set out CL owned by lovely people, will definitely be going back.

A Wonderful CL
This is a wonderful CL in a very quite location (no traffic noise). The site is terraced each level having 1 pitch on it. The pitches have their own picnic table and dustbin, which the owner empties once a week and when new people arrive. The location is very convenient for touring the toe of Cornwall and in particular Falmouth and Truro. There is a cycle track that starts in Penpol and follows the route of an old mineral tramway to the north coast an easy 28 mile round trip with no traffic, through very interesting and historic countryside. I have no hestitation in recommending this site!

Nice Touch
Visited this CL last year. Lovely pitches on different levels amongst the fruit trees. Each pitch has its own picnic table - nice touch. Just a short walk from the Falmouth estuary and very convenient for Truro, Falmouth and the King Harry Ferry.
