Great spot

Just spent three nights here and what a great spot, nice and peaceful and very handy to visit various little towns and villages in the area. Owners very helpful with knowledge about the area. Would certainly go again if in that area.

Beautiful gem of a site.

We had a super relaxing weekend here with our two dogs, there were lovely walks direct from the site for us. The field is spacious and we pitched at the top of the field - you need a long cable for this, we had super views. Nearby Stow is a lovely place for coffee, and shops it was very dog friendly. We visited Hidecote and Chastleton both National Trust places. We had a ride on the steam train from Toddington to Cheltenham and back which was great. We will definitely return. The owners were very helpful and friendly.

What a super site

When we arrived there was only one pitch available but the grass was very long, it looked like it had been recently vacated. We went to see the owner who was only too willing to cut the grass for us. But before he did it we asked if we could pitch at the top of the site, except our cable was not long enough. That again was not a problem as he loaned us a long cable and told us we could pitch were we liked. Nothing was too much trouble. Fortunately we were blessed with superb weather, which of course helps, but it was idyllic. The walks for the dog were immediately from the site ,either up a track or across fields. Stow on the Wold was close by with lots of shops to browse and of course coffee shops galore. Broadway is well worth a visit and is a pleasant drive away. The Fox and Horse & Groom pubs are very close by and worth a visit. We shall certainly be returning.

Very nice site

Quiet site, with lots of room to pitch and chill out. We had to leave a day early due to a fault with our caravan and the owners kindly gave us back our pitch fees for the night we could not stay. They did not have to do this and we thought it was a really kind gesture.  The Kings Head in Bledington is a short easy walk, and serves locally brewed beers and lager and a large selection of wines. The food looks good, although we didn't here. There are plenty of footpaths, 2 of which are directly outside the site entrance, making it ideal for dog walkers. Overall, would go again

Quiet Corner

This was the site for our second leg of our two week holiday. Directions are very good and access is good, even for a large van. The site was pretty full when we arrived and we parked up in the corner nearest the house, which in hindsight was not the brightest thing to do (however only option without lots of extensions on power lead) and had a fully laden cherry tree at the back of the van, which of course was covered in wasps. That aside (which did'nt impact on us at all except making for the van back getting very mucky and making sure that we always used the flyscreens)) we had a great time. Stow is a fabulous little place and has everything you need. Can definately recomment The Cotswold Cheese Company and Huffkins Bakery. Very very slight slope but grass kept nice and short. A very peaceful site and plenty of walks immediately on the doorstep. Kings Head in nearby Bledington does food (but expensive) Stow has lots of choice. Loads of places to visit nearby.

great walks

went to this site in Aug - loved it - great place to walk dogs (off site) - until 2 caravans turned up with 2 + 1 dogs - which were allowed to run wild and disturb everyone- one of the dogs had a tendency to run at people and bark aggressively - we had to keep our dogs shut away to try to reduce the barking - have been reassured off site owners that they will not be allowed on site again - so for that reason - we will return.

Lovely site in lovely surroundings

Very nice site, deep in the countryside and very peaceful. But be warned; if you pitch alongside the hedge near the nursery buildings and the overnight temperature drops below a certain level then heaters keep cutting in throughout the night, which can be quite intrusive if you're a light sleeper! (Just try to get at the top of the site if you can). Apart from that would thoroughly recommend the site.

This site is a gem

We arrived on the site and chose a pitch at the top of the site! The views over the local country side were absolutely wonderful. The site is large, and as we carry two EHU leads we were able to pick a perfect pitch with good views. Water and waste disposal was easy to access. I liked the fact that each pitch had its own recycling box. Access to local places of interest was good. We liked the small shops in Stow on the Wold. The welcome from the owners was lovely. Will we go back again, if we did not have a rule about never going to the same place twice, most certainly. Spoil yourself and go and stay there. Ps, pitch up at the top of the field, as the bottom right hand corner viewed from the top gets a bit waterlogged. A really cracking site at a reasonable cost! Now you know you want to so get booked up!
