Lovely CL

Just back from this CL after 8 day of sun, found the CL easy to get into & plenty of space on the large sized pitches, weather was great we arrived after high winds & rain, ground was a bit soft & I found the van wheels sunk in a bit? Mr Pritchard came & moved the van for us onto our pitch, once we sorted our selves out the sun helped dry the grass out, very quite site, just a slight hum from the gas terminal about 1 mile away,

Very good value

Most of what I would write has been written before, so only additional comments for this lovely site. Arrival was very easy, as it was the Bank Holiday weekend the owners had named pitches so we knew where to go. There appears to be an additional field that is not part of the CL (and a rope present that I presume closed it off when it was not needed), this may explain a previous reviewer suggesting they had more than five outfits. Our only issues with this set up were a couple that seemed to race through the CL to their pitch and a dog that seemed to bark longer than reasonable. There are six pitches on the CL, but even over the BH, only five were in use at most. It seems flatter if you can get the two pitches nearer the houses. Water pressure appears to be better at the tap near the static caravan than the other near the 'extension field'. Over the weekend it was 'Truchonbury', a music festival that went on Fri, Sat, Sun evening till about 11am and could be heard depending on the wind direction. If the wind was the other way you could hear the constant (pleasant) hum from the gas works at Bacton. The constant police patrols around the gas works make this probably the safest CL in the country! The elsan point is a manhole cover near the house. I had no problems lifting it as it was light, but I can imagine some others may have as the handles are the small ones you get on manhole covers. It leaves a huge hole to aim for with a good hosepipe for cleaning. Very good recycling facilities. Very nice owner.

Good vfm

We spent 12 nights on this great CL. Go with all previous comments. But I'd much appreciate it if CL owners would exert authority over dog owners who think it's ok to allow their beloved animals to roam free irrespective of the feelings of those among us who aren't so fond of dogs. It would also be good if they kept to the 5 van limit.

Excellent site

Just stayed for six nights. Very well kept and good facilities with easy recycling. Very well situated for cycling and walking with superb dog walking areas. The owners are very friendly and helpful. A relaxing and beautiful site with lovely views. We will definitely return.

A PEACEFULL DAY/NIGHT STAY

We were told to pick a pitch on arrival, so we chose pitch 1 . Very large pitch's , clean and tidy site with just a slight slope but nothing to worry about. EHU and water tap is very easy to access . Lovely cliff top walk in to Mundesley @ 2.5mile . Very sensibly priced so we will definitely be returning again :)

Smashing CL

we have just come back from this smashing CL, we had a choice of two pitches & were told we could pitch how ever we wanted to, Mr & Mrs Pritchard were very friendly & they keep the site very tidy & grass well cut, water was a bit slow filling apart from that all was good, nice walks from the site down to the cliff tops, A shame you can not access the beach owning to cliff falls but from Bacton or Mundesely you can, great for walking the dog or without, great fish & chip shop @ Bacton cooked to order, We will be going back soon, but when the schools go back as there was a little bit of noise from others on site but overall a great site & would recommend it

Norfolk Gem

We have just had 2 Great weeks at this CL, the sun was shining when we arrived and although we had some heavy rain at  times the site remained well drained and dried out when the sun came out.The grass and site is well maintained and information shed well stocked with info and plants to buy.The pitches are generous and yes there is a slope but not a problem.Views of sunsets and Birds of Prey great from site fields.  There are some great walks down quiet lanes and along the cliff and the area is very quiet, dogs will love it. Great fish and chips in Mundesely village . Good for running around quiet lanes if you area energetic. Lots to do and see and sandy beaches galore along the coast. Had crab and lobster from Sheringham family run shed on High street, excellent.

Looking for a CL in this area This is a good choice

We have just spent 6 nights at Peacock Hall. We really could not fault it. The CL is very slightly sloping, pitch with the slope and is just a jockey wheel adjustment. Pitch against the slope and a 2 inch lift will be required. Grass is cut to a lawn like length and cuttings collected, so no cuttings in your van or awning. Full recycling here and plenty of bins. Entrance to the CL is good but CC signs sit back and you could overshoot if your not careful. The pitches are huge and there is no extra charge for awnings. We used pitch 5 its quite close to a static caravan that is holiday let. You will not be disappointed with this CL well worth a visit and very reasonable at 10 pounds per night (2015)

Excellent!

This is a nice spacious site overlooking fields with the cliffs a short walk away. We found the price economical and the site a good base for exploring the area - I used to holiday in Bacton as a child so it was nice to have a nostalgic re-visit. Mundesley is also nice to wander around and has some good local shops. We took part in the weekly pub quiz at the Manor Hotel, Mundesley - good fun although we didn't win! Would definitely stay again if in the area.
