Lovely open site with access for Oxford

The site is a flat level spacious mowed grass field. There are electric points set up in various places, so you need not be close to anyone else, although when we were there, there were only two vans on the site. The postcode is fine to get there, but there is no CMHC sign on the gate, so look for 'Peachcroft Farm'. You drive past the shop/cafe, through the car park and onto the field. We'd paid in advance and checked in at the shop, where one of the girls explained where the water, waste and CEP was. They were very relaxed about where and how we pitched. The toilets (one for men, one for women) and shower are shared with cafe customers, but we never had a problem with access or cleanliness. The shop cafe close around 5pm, but the facilities remain open. There is some coming and going with shop/cafe customers, but you can park at the far side of the field, so it is not too intrusive. Both shop and cafe are excellent and well worth patronising. Two sides of the site are bordered by fields, and we spent hours watching magnificent Red Kites soaring overhead. We cycled into Oxford (National Cycle Route 5 - mainly off road) which took about 35 minutes. Abingdon is about 10 minutes by bike but would be a rather dull walk.
