Lovely open site with access for Oxford

The site is a flat level spacious mowed grass field. There are electric points set up in various places, so you need not be close to anyone else, although when we were there, there were only two vans on the site. The postcode is fine to get there, but there is no CMHC sign on the gate, so look for 'Peachcroft Farm'. You drive past the shop/cafe, through the car park and onto the field. We'd paid in advance and checked in at the shop, where one of the girls explained where the water, waste and CEP was. They were very relaxed about where and how we pitched. The toilets (one for men, one for women) and shower are shared with cafe customers, but we never had a problem with access or cleanliness. The shop cafe close around 5pm, but the facilities remain open. There is some coming and going with shop/cafe customers, but you can park at the far side of the field, so it is not too intrusive. Both shop and cafe are excellent and well worth patronising. Two sides of the site are bordered by fields, and we spent hours watching magnificent Red Kites soaring overhead. We cycled into Oxford (National Cycle Route 5 - mainly off road) which took about 35 minutes. Abingdon is about 10 minutes by bike but would be a rather dull walk.

Stop off returning home after holiday in France

We chose this site as it was a couple of hours drive from the Portsmouth Ferry as we were heading home after a holiday in France and wanted an overnight stay. We found this to be an excellent site, flat roomy pitches, all facilities and although it was full, it was very quiet and peaceful. On arrival, we popped into the Farm Shop/Cafe and were shown where the all the facilities were and given info about the pitches. We would happily stay here again and its firmly on our 'go to' list

The perfect site.

We booked Peach Croft for two nights due to its location. We found the owners were friendly, polite, helpful and obliging. The site has a choice of hard/grass. We were on the grass (with ehu) and found it firm, level and well kept. The facilities were shared but perfectly adequate and kept very clean. Upon arrival we checked in at the brilliant farm shop and were directed to all necessities. (The attached cafe is also excellent!). The owner dropped by to ensure we were ok and provided invaluable information re bus/train location/services both of which are in easy walking distance and are great for access to Oxford. It is a working farm so has some machinery movements but this was never an intrusion. At the price charged, it was impossible to beat!

Our first break in 8 months was Big let down

We were so looking forward to our first break in 8 months due to our classic camper breaking down at Christmas. We arrived Sunday morning 16/04/23 with rain, but no one can control that. We were not acknowledged to our arrival so telephoned the owners. We were just told ok park where you like and have a nice stay. No one told us where the facilities were we had to work that out for ourselves. also on arrival my wife stepped in dog poo in her new shoes on the campsite grass not nice at all. The toilets we discovered are also public toilets and shower next to toilets at the rear of the caf'e. they were very basic and there was peeling paint on the toilet walls and even worse still on the shower ceiling! the only redeeming feature of this stay was the caf'e which is lovely and well stocked with quality products to buy. the breakfast was excellent . The staff were very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately this is nothing to do with the site its a separate business so no credit to them. Our stay wasn't helped by another camper coming over and complaining i had switched his electric off and ruined his food in fridge. Apparently he said "Ive been all over Australia and never have I had a problem?(work out his philosophy if you can)? I myself have always believed that if shows green is on, red is off, and why are the electric points all connected to one point. his hook up was across the field most odd! we booked a 8 day stay but returned home 19/04/23 very disappointed. we paid £160 up front and we believe it to be over priced for what we got!

Perfect for a stop over.

Peach Croft Farm was perfect for a one night stay on route to a wedding. The site is level and you have access to toilet and shower. There is a farm shop and cafe on site and we had a lovel lunch then stocked up on delicious cheeses and bread. The arrival was a little confusing and the lady in the shop pointed us in the right direction. The toilets were clean. There was no sinage for the chemical disposal point and where to leave your rubbish. All in all it is a good stop over site, and probably a great site for exploring Oxford and area.

Great space with a handy shop & cafe

I would recommend Peach for holidays short breaks around Oxford. The caravan is set in approximately half a acre of level well cut grass, looking over open fields but also the farm shop car park. It has clean toilet/shower facilities but be aware, you are sharing these with the cafe customers and church members who frequent the site all day/evening over Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Queuing is usual, so using own-was our preferred option. It has a well stocked farm shop/café with friendly staff. The site owners are on site and friendly. This is a busy working farm/farm shop so don’t expect it to be quiet during the day. There is a small church in a barn adjacent to the site and the church members were not particularly considerate of us campers- allowing their children to play around the pitches, and parking their cars across the site entrance on Sunday evening. Not sure if the owner is aware of this.

Good CL

This is a good CL on a working turkey/goose farm. The turkeys are interesting neighbours! Grass is well cut and it's great to have access to a loo and a shower. The farm shop and cafe on site are recommended. The CL would benefit from having some signs showing where to go - not immediately obvious to me on my arrival. Also, if the car park for the shop is full, a large outfit may have difficulty negotiating the parked cars onto the site. Great location for central Oxford - park and ride nearby.

Great little site

Nice , open , level site both grass or 2 hardstanding at rear of car park in bad weather .Easy to find , wide entrance. Friendly greeting by employee of farm shop , showed and explained all facilities which were tidy and clean . Open fields all around where asparagus was being picked and sold as we arrived , lots of local farm produce in farm shop for sale which brought steady stream of customers onto adjacent car park but nothing obtrusive . Lovely site and very little noise from adjacent "B" road , only disappointment was no full english breakfast available from on-site cafe , poached egg on toast (sourdough bread) was closest available . Great position for Oxford and Blenheim (park and ride short distance away) .Shall definitely re-visit .

A Good Level Site With Plenty Of Room

I would recommend Peach Croft Farm C/L as being the perfect peaceful site for either stop offs or for holidays close to Oxford. The caravan field is very easy to get too and you can pitch anywhere that you want. it is set in approximately half a acre of level well cut grass. It has a clean toilet/shower facilities and a well stocked farm shop/café with friendly staff. If you like strawberry's, then there is a pick your own field which is very nice. The site owners are very accommodating and helpful. We enjoyed looking at the Red kites which were always above the surrounding fields.
