We was greeted by the friendly owners and showed where everything was and was told a little about the area.
We stayed for four nights the weather was extremely hot and we was grateful for the large trees giving us much needed shade. We loved walking around the site looking into the ponds.
There are many places to visit from this site, Much Wenlock, Bridgnorth and several National Trust properties. There is some road noise especially at rush hour but that hasn't stopped us planning to come back and visit the places we didn't have time for this visit.
Good Value for the Money
A nice fairly flat site with friendly owners ,is easy to get to along a drive which has a good surface.
The trees behind the caravans shown in the photo have geown and were in full leaf and could do with being cut back but they did offer some shade,
The pitches were due for a cut and they overlook a wild meadow.
Nice to stroll around the lakes and there is a seat to sit on and watch the wildlife activity if there is any.
Childrens play are with some equipment.
The chemical disposal point is not close but you are able to take your car.to it.
Having individual taps is very useful, pressure is very high
There is some road noise, it didnt bother us and was reasonabley quiet during the night
Some nice places to visit and a ride on the Severn Valley railway is good but not cheap.
Unfortunately the N T properties locally were closed.
Good value at ÂŁ14 a night
Useful to have statics for family/friends to stay in but are quite old and need some tlc.
An escape to tranquility
Easy access to site, lovely location, warm, friendly and helpful owners, they have obviously done much to iehance
the attractiveness and nature effectiveness of the site, having planted over 1000 trees, lovely lillly ponds with resident geese, another CL for us to re-visit, thank you Lou and Terri
relaxing
Have just had 7 wonderful days on this excellent site, when we arrived the owner was cutting the pitches grass so it was lovely and short. Owners are very pleasant and helpful, do not bother you at all but are always around if you need any advice or help, your own water tap on each pitch, easy access of main road a bit of traffic but did not bother us at all. A great site enjoyed it so much hoping to book a week in August. Geoff and Sue
Disappointed!
Having read the 5 star reviews, on arrival we were disappointed. Pretty surroundings but grass only pitches which were overgrown with the grass of 8 inches in length, not good for sitting Out and not comfortable for dogs due to ticks and other insects in long grass. Horrific road noise all day and night due to A458 only 100 yards away. Almost impossible to level out Motorhome despite using the new milenco blocks measuring 18cm! Fishing on site advertised but no fish caught, and the final problem was the location of the chemical disposal point which was 300 yards from our pitch, might not seem far but it is when the loo is heavy. Such a shame as we were told it was so much better than it was. This CL needs attention.
Great cl
Just returned from a 2 night stay at this excellent cl. Great site with walks through meadows and around 2 pools, one for fishing and the other a delight for butterflies and dragonflies. There is some road noise during the day but didn’t bother me, however may bother some people. The site is set in wonderful countryside and close to some great places of interest. All pitches have own water and are adequately level. No hardstanding pitches but ground is well drained so no problems in wet weather. Will definitely be returning.
Super place to practise social distancing
Superb CL site. So welcoming and peaceful. Beautiful scenic grounds and no need to venture off site. Just relax watching the birds and insects, amble around the meadows, try a spot of fishing. Just brilliant.
Great CL, recommended
Stayed here for 2 nights in October half term. Immaculately kept CL in a lovely setting. Mr Skinner was very welcoming and informative. We had a CL to ourselves but the pitches are adequately spaced out and overall level. The children's play area and walks on site were a bonus with our 3 young children. The only slight drawback was background noise from the A road but it didn't really bother us (3 children make much more noise!). Would definitely stay again. We explored Kniver Edge, Rays Farm and Bridgnorth (especially the cliff railway).
Lovely site
Stayed for a couple of nights. Couldn't fault the site and facilities. Very welcoming and helpful. On main bus route so ideal base for exploring local area. Will remember my fishing rod next time.
We will be back
This is our first visit to Shropshire for many years and we specifically chose that particular area for access to Ironbridge. We were not disappointed. Instructions were clear and the information provided on arrival very helpful. The site is immaculately maintained. Many areas are left to meadow with paths cut through allowing for access and a gentle evening stroll around the grounds.
The site is perfect for touring the villages and towns in addition to The Long Mynd etc.
We have promised ourselves to return.
