A hidden gem

A three night stopover here on our way back south from Scotland. Depending on which way you approach the site, the entrance is easily missed if approaching from the north. We overshot and the entrance is 750m south of the right hander at Upper Helmsley. The local lane to the bus stop( 0.5m)is a bit of a rat run so watch out for traffic. The pub is a further quarter mile. Hourly buses to York. A tranquil site with tall trees all round so solar could be a problem outside high summer. Beautiful spot though.
