Beautiful site but non existent customer service

We stayed here for 1 week in march. We had been excited about staying on a fully serviced pitch on a CL that comes highly recommended. Unfortunately we soon became rather deflated! Having driven 6 hours the welcome we received at 5.30pm was non existent. Both in need of the loo but unable to find, we waited patiently for owner Kate to end her phone call in the back office. When she did finally attend to us not one single piece of information (not even a site map) was given to us and not any niceties spoken! Fortunately we did think to ask where the shower block was and the recycling and waste. We forgot however to ask about WiFi and dog walk so we just had to work these out for ourselves. Whilst very clean and modern, we saw no evidence of warmth in the shower rooms having to shower at 14/15 degrees. It was a cold week! And the underfloor heating and heated towel rails didn't ever seem to be turned on. The water was lovely and hot luckily! The picnic table per pitch boasted in the literature was not in evidence. Luckily we didn't want to sit out! Every time we went to reception/shop there was never anybody there. Instead they were in the back office with head set firmly in place! This site is beautiful, clean, well tended but there is absolutely no customer service or friendliness shown. In hindsight with the time of year and lack of bookings the week we went, we would have chosen to stay on a fully serviced pitch in the main campsite and saved ourselves £50 for the sake of an invisible picnic table, heated 'exclsive' shower block and a dividing beech hedge. Site well located for what we wanted to see but I personally think this site is over rated because of reasons given: lack of welcome, information and promises made of things which we didn't see!

A Hidden Gem

After a drive down a norrow twisting road (reason for entry/exit times) we found ourselves at the Old Brick Kilns after a very laid back and friendly reception our membership card was photocopied and we were on holiday, we had been allocated Primrose pitch with a lovely view and surrounded by hedges nice and private with enough room between pitches to be neighbourly but not on top of each other, gravel pitches with Fresh Water, Waste water, Electric, TV Point and picknic table. we piched the van put up the awning, had a cup of tea and headed to the showers, and WOW what great showers well full wet rooms to be honest, big walk in shower, with unlimted supply lovely hot water, Toilet, Big mirror sahving point, Hair dryer, Hand Drier and a wonderfull heated towel rack to warm the towels while you shower these are the best shower facilites i have ever used on a caravan site. The camp shop has everything you might need and not overpriced, there is a restaurant onsite which we will be trying during the week as the menu looks good. this is what caravaning should be about a spotlessly clean site with a warm welcome and peacefull Both my wife and I work in a fast paced enviroment and this site allows us to relax and charge our batteries, in a peaceful tranquily enviroment,  I can see us becoming regulars here..

Charming site

We selected this site for our very first caravan trip and couldn;t have picked anywhere better.  We were greeted with a warm welcome and very friendly staff. The site is perfectly kept and clean and tidy, the shower blocks are immaculate and well maintained. Overall a great place to stay.

Lazy days

we have been coming back to this wonderful site for a few years both to enjoy the peace and quiet the laughs with the fellow campers and the fun with both John and Alison just can't wait to be back there in September  The joy of the dawn chorus of the birds, the rabbits scurrying around the park what more can you want The site is in the most perfect location for the broads and the whole of the North Norfolk coast.

Tranquility at its very best.

Where does one really start to describe the excellence of this CL, I do not scribe reviews as I feel they can be misleading, however I break my tradition and simply but truthfully say- What an absolute delight this CL is, it promises everything and delivers it all in bucket loads. The owners are a real delight and make you feel special, the commitment to making your stay a happy one is unbelievable. I have never come across two more dedicated and hardworking people in all my life. The Site is brilliant, peaceful, pictures, exceptional individual bathroom for CL users. Spacious secluded pitches and awake every morning to the sounds and sights of Bird's singing and baby rabbits scurrying across the park. Believe me its a real delight and an absolute must for a trip to this part of Norfolk. Well done and the owner make a real difference. PS. Food in the restaurant is exceptional and again they are the perfect Hosts.

Short stay

We live locally but visiting grandson wanted to sleep in the caravan so we booked for a couple of nights. What a great site. Nice welcome, grass areas for children to play near caravan as well as a playground. Friendly staff, good shop. We didn't use the CL as all booked up but it looked the roomiest we've seen. Will definitely recommend to family and friends who visit the area as well visiting again ourselves.
