Excellent site

wow! what can I say about this site, IT'S AMAZING!!!!! the facilities are clean and well maintained, Susan - AKA Joyce and Bob are lovely people who are on hand to help any way possible. We have an 14yr old who has Autism and struggles in new surroundings and with new people, he loved the wildlife as its teaming, he took to Joyce and she embraced him. We will be returning!! 5*

2020 Retrospective - Excellent Site

Came here early Sept 2020 glorious weather and we stayed a week. This was our first CL and a good pick. A nice secure site. Some hardstanding if required but otherwise a well drained set of grass pitches. The amenities are excellent with a a shower block/toilets , outdoor barbecue, fridge to use. The hosts could not have been more helpful when we arrived and throughout the stay. I would definitely recommend this CL

Lovely site and very friendly owners, Would recommend,

this is a lovely site, access is excellent, nice and clean, nice friendly welcome that showed us where everything was, my 3 year old loved the chickens, its a nice quiet site but road noise in the distance but nothing to stop anyone going there, toilet an shower room was nice and clean, shower had plenty of pressure and water was nice and hot, plenty of hand gel etc around, weather wasnt good for us but even tho there had been so much rain there the previous week and while we was there the grass field was nice and solid, we will return, Thank you for making us feel so welcome, Rhys, Neysa & Lucy

we have just got back after 8 wonderful nights at Oakland 5cl site the welcome we got was fantastic . Joyce and Bob are down to earth and nothing is to much trouble . The cabin is a full working kitchen plus the toilet and shower is spotless with plenty of hot water we invited Joyce and Bob for a BBQ finished up using the purpose built one near the cabin so after putting the world to rights while emptying a bottle of whiskey we went back to our van happy and and slightly drunk .so thank you both for a very nice holiday … from Dave and Ann

Wonderful small site

This was the first Caravan and Motorhome site we have ever stayed at - I only joined up as I was unable to find a site with availability for the August bank holiday weekend at short notice. Luckily this site is newly on the books so Joyce was able to accommodate us for 3 nights. She and Bob are extremely helpful and kind, and their site is very peaceful with a lovely outlook onto surrounding fields. We were the only people there for the second and third nights and enjoyed waking up under the oak trees, the hot showers and quiet clucking of Joyce's hens as we passed to get to the toilet block. We were meeting up with friends in Lowestoft so the site was very well situated for us. We will certainly come back here, and will book well in advance in case Oakside becomes too popular!

Weekend number two

Just got back from our second weekend at Joyce and Bob's wonderful CL site and have booked two more stays, one in September and another in October, another brilliant weekend in this lovely part of the countryside, took our son and the dog this time and set up the awning, the typical bank holiday weather was in a way a bonus as we spent Saturday afternoon relaxing and chilling in our little van overlooking the lovely countryside, since our first visit Joyce and Bob have resurfaced the entrance to the field with some lovely new stone pebbles which set the site off really well, we saw the local bats and little rabbits and thoroughly enjoyed our time yet again, so much to do locally and Bob is a great gent who has so much local knowledge so we tried some new local destinations and also walked the dog on the miles of glorious beaches close by, took me back to my childhood collecting conkers, what a great way to spend the weekend, ready for our third visit and it can't come soon enough.

A hidden gem

Having booked last minute we arrived on site and were the first members to pitch up as the site has only just been certified, what a fantastic find, we were greeted by the most friendly and welcoming hosts, Joyce and Bob are the most accommodating and welcoming people we have ever met, nothing was too much trouble and both were really down to earth, funny and helpful, the site itself is amazingly tranquil and the two photographs the club have uploaded do not go anywhere near showing the beautiful and peaceful site, the facilities are out of this world with the exclusive cabin having everything you could ever need and more, spotlessly clean and the shower is to die for, we didn't want to come home! There is so much to do and see locally and Bob went out of his way to suggest places to visit, we had three hectic days and at the end of each day we couldn't wait to get back to what can only be described as paradise, so peaceful and quiet with no light pollution we could see every star in the sky and sat out watching an off shore thunderstorm, this site is first class and Joyce and Bob can only be described as the two warmest, funniest people we have ever met, we've booked up for Bank Holiday weekend next week and can't wait to return, the whole break was magical and we feel so privileged to have found the jewel in the beautiful Norfolk broads and feel we have made friends with two people we will see again and again, thank you Joyce and Bob for letting us share your wonderful site and we'll see you soon

Fantastic new CL site in southern Norfolk

We were the first ones to book this brand new CL site and Joyce and Bob made us very welcome - nothing was too much trouble. We were given the choice of a grass or a handstanding pitch and we enjoyed great views from our Campervan across the adjacent fields which included a passing deer or two albeit in the distance! Chickens were roaming around the campsite during the day. All the facilities in 'the Cabin' were spotlessly clean - and it included an Aladdin's Cave of' 'treasures' including a fridge with ice already made and waiting for our G and T's, a microwave, kitchen equipment including BBQ utensils and washing up facilities amongst many other items. A BBQ and seating area was outside. On departure all the usual facilities, CDP, drive over grey water disposal and a rubbish recycling point were accessible. All in all, a very enjoyable break at this lovely site We will definately revisit and renew our friendship with the friendly owners! Thank you Joyce (Sue) and Bob!!
