Received a warm welcome from the owner who gave us a bus timetable, info sheet & directions to walk to nearest beach. Lovely stroll through trees down to shingle beach with clear views of the Isle of Wight on good days which luckily we had. So much to do around here that this site is the perfect base though a tad small & edged by trees we had evening & morning sun to sit in but spent all our time out & about. A visit to lymington on market day is a must & a day trip to IOW on Puffin Cruisers is very enjoyable. The beaches had lifeguards & the nicest one we found was at Friars cliff with good cafe too. We found most places extremely dog friendly. We had a lovely meal in the local pub The Walkford at a very good price too. Very quiet cosy basic site - just what we wanted ! ( nb:easy to miss the narrow entrance into Holly Lane so go slow after passing the Walkford pub)
