We had a very peaceful and enjoyable stay on this spacious and quiet site. The owner was friendly and helpful. A great location for exploring North Norfolk, away from the hustle and bustle but within easy reach of the coast and other places to visit. The nearby village of Binham is a delight with its priory and pretty cottages. We had a superb afternoon tea at 'The Parlour' cafe/tearoom. Also visited the Langham Dome museum which was very interesting. The highlight of the site for us was probably the hares which visited every evening - really lovely to see.
A beauty in North Norfolk
As the coastal sites were full we dropped lucky and found this gem at the last minute for a 2 night stop. All you would want from a rural site. Peace, clear skies, star filled at night, with an in week show from the RAF. Just set up your chairs and watch three large aircraft circle for around an hour early evening. We cycle and this site offers easy access to Wells next the Sea, and a number of small villages and pubs in a 10 mile circle. The host came round on our first morning for a chat and to enable us to pay. There are plenty of buzzards around and more hares than we have ever seen. It was a wonderful 2 night stop.
Another Great site
A lovely site in an ideal location for the north Norfolk coast and Kings Lynn. Easy enough to find with a satnav with easy entry and exit. Pretty flat site with lots of space, the grass was mown and the site was generally very neat and tidy. The site has water and toilet disposal, which was all we needed, but since there was an electric hook up, we made use of that too, though we usually manage perfectly well with gas/batteries/solar panels. We stayed two nights and explored the area. The owner popped along to say hello once we were parked up and was very helpful and pleasant.
I would happily recommend this site.
very peaceful site
just got back from four nights at Nutwood.
so relaxing and quiet just what we needed.
we cycled on our bikes to Wells and Holkham.
we had a lovely ice cream at Binham and really enjoyed the views.
loads to do in the area.
we will be back.
Fantastic place for a peaceful break!
If you want peace and quiet, this site delivers! The single track lane running past the entrance keeps the speed of passing cars down to 30 - 40 mph which means the site remains quiet. The facilities are a bit on the basic side, but so are many other CL's. Less than a mile west of the site is the Carpenters Arms and two miles the other way, the village of Binham boasts a petrol station and general store, a pub and a farm shop with cafe. Just over a mile walk away is the Wighton Halt on the Walsingham to Wells light railway, so both of those are easily accessible.
On the same site is a bike hire facility and self catering cottages.
For me, though, the main advantage of this site is the peace and quiet. Many CL's have the butterfly symbol in their description but this site truly lives up to it.
Sorry - Lacking for Me
Arrived following the Sat Nav as the directions in the handbook are inadequate, all the while praying we did not meet a tractor on the narrow country lanes.
Arrived to no information on which pitch. Rang the host who told us to go wherever we wanted!
A level field, with a bin at CDP up the field. Nothing more nothing less!
This is a working farm, which I appreciate, however the pigs in the next field with their constant squeals are very off-putting. Four very big pigsties with green trampoline roofs. Not sure if they were piglets but not a pleasant sound.
Not for me.
Relaxing
My wife and I had a short stay here over the Easter holidays. After the horrendous journey with traffic jams and accidents ( being a typical bank holiday ) it was a delight when we finally arrived. The CL was very tidy with neatly mowed grass with electric hook ups and water close by. Everything that's essential. The sheer peace was an absolute delight. Would definitely return.

A most peaceful and relaxng CL
My wife and I visited this CL recently and stayed for 7 days .Up on arrival, we were met by a very charming couple who own the site Mr & Mrs Savory who made us most welcome. If you like peace and tranquillity this site will suit you. It is very well situated for visitors of the North Norfolk coast. It is a level grassy site with very nice views of the surrounding countryside. You can be assured of a friendly welcome.
Lovely :)
Found this cl just lovely it's quiet, with a pretty view. We were made very welcome as we called at short notice. The site is well kept. I did manage to clip my caravan awning rail at the bottom at the back on the bank on the oppersite side of the road as I swung in (I dare say it's probably my lack of towing experience and my shear size. it caused no damage just a massive tuft of grass hanging out of the rail). We had a lovely couple of days :)
