Lovely Peaceful Site

Had a lovey stay at Norwood Farm. Owner was very nice and helpful. You need a code to get in and out of the site which gave you a bit more security. Lovely views across fields and pitches nicely spread out. Never heard any noise and didn't even notice any train noise at all. We visited Chatsworth Gardens which is a must and about 45 minute drive away and a bonus of having a xmas fare on as well which was lovely. We also went to Creswell Crags to see the caves which was really interesting and about 10 minutes away . A visit to Clumber Park was lovely also with its walled garden and lakeside walk. All in all it was a lovely trip and would come back here again.

Amazingly quiet and peaceful

Stayed here on multiple occasions and we keep returning. The greeting is so warm and welcoming, the site is always very clean and tidy and there is plenty of room for all who are staying. So quiet and peaceful with relaxing views over the fields. There is a public pathway but we only saw 2 people in 5 days on this latest stay. Our dogs are always happy here as there is no noise to bother them. Love looking for the owls that live here, at dusk, when they fly off to hunt .. and the butterfly bush amazed me with the sheer amount of butterflies it attracted. Overall I would recommend it highly if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful stay.. there is WiFi for those who use it which is always a plus. Will be returning again soon.

Pleasant site.

Access to site was good, combination lock on gate which we phoned up the owner for. Good views from site, also good dog walking straight from site. Nice welcome from the owner, very clean toilet and recycling facilities. One downside is the public footpath that runs through the site, so quite busy with people who are not staying on the site. All in all a very pleasant site that we would visit again.

Great Site

We stayed at this lovely site for the August Bank Holiday weekend. The site is very easy to find and the welcome was lovely. The site has lots of room to pitch where you like with extra electric cables to borrow. The facilities are kept immaculately clean with hand sanitizer and anti bac spray and j cloths available in abundance. Recycling is well organised. Do not be put of by the proximity of the railway line it is virtually silent. The site is peaceful with lovely views over the fields. We had a very restful weekend. Thank you

Excellent as always

Lovely quiet CL. Mel very welcoming. All the facilities are always immaculate. Very spacious with lots of choice of pitch. Many walks from the site and a resident barn owl to watch in the evenings. Will definitely visit again.

Best CL ever stayed on.

We arrived to a lovely welcome from Mel and Diane. Such lovely people. the site is beautifully kept, really clean. There is a beautiful walk straight out of the site where there is a wildflower meadow. The only sounds were those of the birds. Thank you for such a restful stay. We will definitely be back.

Peace and Quiet

Booked for 2 nights, so relaxing we extended our break. They now have EHU to all five spacious plots. Bus runs near by with plenty of walks if you like. The facilities are ultra clean with plenty of sanitiser etc. Really there is nothing not to like if you like a quiet relaxing break. Will definitely return.

Lovely site

First time in the Caravan with the Grandchildren. Was a welcome greeting. Nice to have a site that is peaceful but welcomed children. Plenty of room for everyone, lovely walk/cycle path on the doorstep. Visit to Creswell crags less than 10 mins in the car is a must. Thank you to Mel & Diane will definitely be returning.

Absolutely lovely

We stayed at Norwood Farm for two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. It was the first time in our camper van and it couldn't have been nicer. The place had everything we needed, was spotlessly clean and was so peaceful and picturesque. Lots of places to visit on the doorstep and even just walking from the farm with the dog was a delight. Mel was very friendly and made us feel at ease. We will certainly look at visiting again as we can now call ourselves 'proper camper vanners'. Thank you Mel and Diane

Beautiful, peaceful site

We spent four nights at this very peaceful site in beautiful surroundings, my favourite site we've stayed at to date. The facilities are immaculate and there are lots of places to walk dogs safely from the site. The hosts are friendly and very helpful. There are a variety of places to go within a short distance including Creswell Crags, Bolsolver Castle, Clumber Park and the church with the twisted spire in Chesterfield! We'll definitely stay here again when we're in the area or in need of some peace and quiet.
