A tranquil haven of wildlife

Upon arrival we were greeted by a warm welcome from Claire (and partner) who have taken over the site from her parents. Price is £15pn (couple) and EHU is unavailable for the foreseeable future. Norjen Park is an adults only site, with pets allowed. There is a spotless single shower & toilet in a heated shed, and everything all worked perfectly. Overnight was virtually silent, and despite the site being situated near a road, it is screened by a thick hedge, and you cannot see any traffic. You park on grassed over crushed concrete pitches, which stay firm in wet weather.. We stood alone for the night with only Deer & Pheasants for company, and is a haven for wildlife. Numerous walks in the area.

Lovely wilderness, restful in spite of some road noise

We normally stay on main CC sites, a good introduction to CL's. We stayed late September 2021. Easy access just off a main road, so you have to accept some road noise. Paths within the site great for the dog. Re electricity, you either pay slightly more for the pitch and it is included or pay less and buy the electricity as you use it. Fair for those that prefer to use less or stay of grid. We are used to hookup so fine. Norman is a friendly chap who will come and visit you to ensure all is well and greet you. Easy access to nearby centres such as Cromer (Morrisons, Lidl, Co-op) or Sheringham (Tesco). 6 or 7 pitches to choose from though only 5 used, hard or grass, some are under trees, some in the open, we moved to a sunnier one that became available on our day 2 of 4 days. Would we recommend? Yes!

A lovely little gem

We came and stayed at Norjen this May bank holiday and found the site lovely, nice little place with easy access and Norman was a great host, The facilities are more than ample with plenty of space for ourselves, There is a dog walking track around the site for dog owners too, You have great access to local sights with a beach in 10 minutes drive and Witton woods in 10 minutes too, had a lovely time we will be back.

Disappointed

Stayed at this site in November. Had originally thought to stay for a week however on arrival found that we had to use electric card for the meter. This would not have been an issue but I had already phoned and asked how much the cost per night was for hard standing with electric and was told £13. As it happened it was £13 a night plus what ever you use for electric. We stayed 3 days but the electric was over £2 each day extra and we were pretty cold during the night as really watching what electric we used. On a tight budget hence the reason for double checking the price out before going there. To be fair Norman had been in hospital and not long home and Jen was trying to deal with any enquiries which she admitted she did not normally do. The site itself is fine there is a shower room that has a toilet in the same room. Can not comment on it as we use the facilities in our own van. There was some road noise as one side of the field is next to busy main road. there is mention of a dog walk but we did not find it. did not like to bother the owners as felt they had enough going on with Norman not being well. Vernon Arms looks a great pub to visit but it gets really booked up rang Friday afternoon and they were fully booked up for that night. All in all would not return to this site as think that it is pretty expensive for what it offers. we have been touring since August and most CLs are between £10 and £13 a night including the electric.

Just as good as the last time.

Our second visit to the site.  Just spent Christmas and New Year there.  Was surprised to find it so popular at this time of year!  Despite that, it didn't feel in any way crowded and the welcome, unlike the weather, was very warm.  We really like the tranquility, and the proximity of the site to the coast makes it even more appealing. Thank you Norman and Jen. Thoroughly recommend it.

Lovely Site

Just spent a wonderful weekend at Norjen. Loved the wild meadow around the site with cut paths to walk through. Shower and toilet kept spotlessly clean. Norman was really helpful and friendly. Hope to visit again soon.

A real gem

Just spent a blissful week there. Clean spacious and well laid out. A credit to Norman and Jen who obviously put in a great deal of time and effort. Nice easy access. Loved the electricity cards. Weather was cold so we used a lot of heating without abusing Normans hospitality.

Value for money

Our second visit to this CL. It is a credit to Norman and his wife. As for the electric cards, it worked out to about £1 for our two night stay albiet with a gas water heater instead of electric. Even so, you would have to use £6 plus to get to the price other CLs charge per night (And some charge extras on top of that). The road noise was noticeable this time although not intrusive, probably because it is holiday season.

Peaceful, Clean and Welcoming

A really peaceful, clean and welcoming CL - even on my own after the rains!!  Norman's shed has to be seen to be believed!!  Norman himself is really friendly and helpful, and a mine of local information. Two fairly minor issues, however, First - Do not go by the directions on the web site.  They are very confusing and murder if towing on your own.  Give Norman a ring (or email) and he will send you a super clear set of instructions. Second - This is the first time in 29 years of membership that I have been beset by electricity cards.  Blooming expensive I must say - plus, I left around £3.00 on the meter.  Sorry Norman, I just don't like it.
