Stunning views - and so much more

Set at the top of a hill, the views to the front and rear of the site are beautiful and far-ranging. The pitches themselves are neatly mown & have an individual fresh water tap and grey water drain. His & hers toilets were available for use & always very clean. We woke every day to the sounds of the farm cockerels & local wild birds, with tawny owls sending us to sleep at night. Traffic noise was minimal. The owners are very friendly & helpful - often busy around the farm & happy for a chat, but not intrusive if you want to keep yourselves to yourselves. Lovely walks direct from the site, or Exmoor/Dartmoor aren't too far to drive if you want something more dramatic. Recommend leaving the car at Crediton station & catching the train to Exeter - free parking, good value fares and quicker than driving. Large Tesco store on the outskirts of Crediton, or smaller local shops in town or in Tiverton. Then there's the farm shop attached to the site - lovely fresh eggs & much more. All this for £12 per night, what more could you ask for?

Such a lovely site

This is a lovely site with very welcoming friendly hosts. The pitches are beautifully kept with plenty of space, well mown grass, electricity, water, and hedges in between. There is a useful little farm shop selling local produce including delicious ice cream. The views from the site are fantastic and the little toilet block is kept spotlessly clean.

HEAVEN IN DEVON

If you are looking for peace and quiet, nature at its best, constant water, grey water disposal, and electric hook up on each pitch, beautiful views across the valley, wonderful pitches, ideal dog walking areas, close to amenities, site has its own little shop selling milk, butter, eggs, sausages, ice cream, jams and all sorts of stuff. This site is virtually in the very centre of Devon ideal for visiting either the north or south coasts, there is a large park with a huge fishing lake just a few minutes away, two great pubs just a few minutes by car. The Red Lion and The Lamb Inn, The site Bob and Sheila are just brilliant people, so friendly, couldn't be more helpful. I could go on all day but honestly this place is literally heaven in Devon. Give it a go and you will not be disappointed, I just wish we were still there. Not only that the rates are unbelievable considering the facilities The toilets,( his and hers)are immaculate, but there I go again, you have to see it to believe it. Enjoy my fellow caravanners. It's the place to be.

They have thought of everything for a great experience. Fab-u-lous!

Wonderful site as these reviews attest. The owners kindly allowed me to put my windbreak across the end of my "garden pitch" so that I had a perfectly safe enclosed area for my whippets to enjoy. Honesty shop has good local produce to buy. My favourite CL to date by a country mile.

Fabulous!

Just returned from 2 fabulous weeks at this fantastic CL - the surrounding countryside is stunning and location and road links make both the north and south coasts accessible - if you're a heritage railway nut there are 6 or 7 lines within reach. Roads in this part of Devon don't seem to be congested at this time of year so getting out and about was a pleasure. We hopped on the local GWR service to Exeter and beyond a couple of times to go to Exmouth and Teignmouth and were surprised at how little the fare was. There are some great pubs within easy reach for good quality real ale and food. The CL itself is very well maintained and hosts welcoming but not intrusive. Would definitely recommend. We'll be back!

It's all true

All the previous reviews are spot on - this site has it all. Lovely views, neatly mowed pitches separated by newly planted hedging, spotless his ‘n her toilets, good TV reception and 3G on Three and O2. Whilst we’re unlikely to return to the area it is a site that we can recommend.

One of the best

We had been travelling around Devon for 2 months and we saved the best cl site till last. Mr and Mrs Webb were so very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They even invited us to join their table at the local pub. The campsite area is very well placed with a new toilet block which was always clean. Some of our neighbours had been coming to this site for years which speaks volumes. The nearby road was not an issue and the site is very central to visit places of interest. Crediton is a delightful town and Exeter and Tiverton is only a few miles away. There is a farm shop on the site selling local produce too. But perhaps the highlight is the surrounding stunning views. Even on a wet day you couldn't fail to be impressed. Will most definitely return.

Long time favourite

We first discovered this CL 14 years ago and have been back every year since. Beautiful spot in a quieter part of Devon but we find with easy access to both coast and moors although one of those places where you can just sit back and relax and enjoy the views.Serviced pitches and brand new toilets this year. Very friendly owners. Definitely a site worth a visit.

Home

Devon is full of gems but this CL is definitely the best! Outstanding views across the devon hills amazing unpolluted night sky for looking at the stars, beautiful and peaceful other than local wildlife occasionally singing cuckoos and owls often heard. Clean well maintained site with a replaced toilet block hopefully for 2017 summer. Huge segregated (by fencing and baby hedging) pitches all with easy access to water, drain for dirty water and electricity. Owners are fellow caravanners so have a wealth of knowledge. For us this site is our home away from home.

WOW What a great CL

This CL is what the Club is all about. Clean , well kept and an owner who is really proud of what he is trying to achieve. At £11 a night this gem is well organised with full service pitch,s If your a steam buff then let Bob know as he knows when mainline steam is running in the area.
