Great place to stopover
Great new site just outside Taunton where we were meeting friends. A very helpful Nigel met us on arrival and showed us the facilities which were all clean and tidy. The pitches are level and well kept with flower baskets to brighten them up. There was a bit of traffic noise from the road nearby, apparently more than usual due to a nearby road closure and diversion. Our very pleasant walk to the local pub (The Rising Sun) took us 3/4 hr. along the riverbank (geese, swans and a heron spotted) and into the village of Knapp. The pub is lovely, with great Beer and Cider, but be sure to 'phone ahead as it was so quiet they had closed the kitchen! - The very helpful staff managed to conjure-up a couple of bowls of chips for us tho'. Most enjoyable stay.
