A Handy CL just north of Boston

The site is about 7 miles north of Boston and easily accessible from the A52. Site is about 600 yards down Wrangle Common road. Just as you see a road junction coming in on the right look for the sign and entrance gate on the right. Wrangle Common road is fairly narrow and has one or two passing places. However you can see as far as you need to. Being situated in an agricultural area you may come across a tractor or lorry transporting the mainly Brassicas to market. We never met anything on this road in the 4 days we spent here but there is quite a bit of this sort of traffic noise. The CL is very pleasant. It has 1 Hardstanding otherwise the rest are Grass. There is a water tap, water disposal point and EHU on each pitch although I wouldn't call them your normal Serviced Pitches. The Elsan point is a fair trek across the field. All of the pitches have some shelter behind them with well matured trees or bushes. The owner, Mr.Edwards senior called and is very amenable. His house is the one on the left as you look from the CL. His DiL handled the booking and lives in the other house. We were able to access areas that we came to visit to the north and south so the position was ideal. Nearest town is Boston with several supermarkets. There is a bus stop in Wrangle which will take you up to Skegness or down to Boston. Very good value. Wifi and phone signal worked well from site.

Warm, friendly well worth staying here

We found this site three years ago and are very surprised that it is not as well used as it certainly should be. It’s peaceful, comfortable, fully serviced, and is only a ten minutes walk from the village. There is a reasonable bus service to Skegness and Boston (both well worth visiting). In Skegness, for those with Motorhomes, you can park at Tesco for 3 hours and next door is a dedicated coach and Motorhome parking area for a reasonably cheap all day amount. John, Jane, Carolyn, Will and Rob are usually around somewhere on the farm and can be easily contacted by phone. They are more than helpful. We stay here as often as we can. Over the season, probably 8 or 9weeks and we are never less than happy. There are so many great places in this area of Lincolnshire to visit! Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

one of the best CL sites

This is one of the best sites we have used and will be returning without a doubt, site is large well cut level paddock, no shower or WC but fully serviced pitches with chemical toilet emptying point. Loads of room for children to play if you have them, local shop within walking distance + CO-OP 3 to 4 minutes away by car, pub within easy walking distance, Boston 10 mins by car and Skegness around 15 min. We stayed for 9 nights and only three other units stayed whist we were there for average of two nights each and had the place to ourselves the rest of the time in fact thats our car and van in the picture

Friendly CL

Stayed at the site for four nights in June its a great CL especially at twelve pounds per night with serviced pitches and a very warm welcome. Its a easy walk down the lane to local shop and take away plus a pub, also decent bus service either way we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Spent a long weekend here with our grandson and really enjoyed it the site is large with pleanty of room for caravans. The owners are very nice and welcoming made a real fuss of our grandson showing him the farm. Ideal location to explore the area the Bricklayers Pub near by does a great pie and the beers good as well. Will certainly return.

Spacious Site

First visit to this site, warm welcome from Carolyn the owner, site is lawned, secure and spacious, the joys of caravanning are made even better with serviced points allocated for each pitch. Just a few places to visit Gunby Hall NT, Sibsey Trader Windwill, if you wish to visit the coast you are only a short distance to Skegness or the Market town of Boston. Would certainly recommend and visit this site again.

This is my experience

Having booked this site and reconfirmed the booking i travelled almost 230 miles from Wales to this site because I needed to be near the town of Boston where I was going to rescue a dog. On arrival there were already 5 units on site which is the caravan club limit. I went to the owners farm as she wouldn`t answer the phone. It was obvious she had no idea as to how many members were arriving and leaving because she said i think I may have made a mistake as when I looked out of the window this morning I saw there were five there already. I think there are two leaving today". (they weren`t). She tried to pitch me on a non pitch under a tree dropping sap on ground so sloping that we would have rolled out of bed and not enough room to erect my full awning without being too close and blocking another member. Not to mention breaching club and fire safety rules and getting my new caravan and awning ruined by tree sap. So I decided to leave. I tried recontacting the site owner who was back on answerphone (she never did ring me back), so I found my self 227 miles from home with no place to pitch and had a frantic 30 minutes trying to find another site. I eventually mentioned to squeeze onto a caravan club site 30 miles away. As a result the site owner has caused me to travel 180 miles further than than I needed with the additional fuel costs plus my pitch fees were almost trebled. Hell will freeze over before I use this site again. The only good news was I rescued the dog.

Excellent CL

We stayed on this lovely CL for 5 days. As stated, all of the pitches are fully serviced, a facility which is much appreciated by ourselves. The CL itself is of a good size with a dog walking area included. The owners, although friendly, aren’t at all intrusive. We didn’t find the site noisy, apart from agricultural vehicles – only to be expected on the Lincolnshire Fens. The surrounding area is excellent for easy cycling and there are plenty of local pubs. The two pubs in Wrangle can be recommended.

Very good CL

First the slight bad bit there is a small amount of noise from road traffic from the road next to the site. This a working farm set in the fens of Lincolnshire close to Boston and Skegness, the CL is on a large 2.5 acre flat field that is kept well mowed with water and Electrical hook ups on each pitch the Toilet waste disposal point is well away from the pitches and could be a problem for motor homers. The entrance is wide and gated. We received a warm and friendly welcome from the owner and had a very pleasant stay, This site is well situated to explore this part of Lincolnshire and we will definitely be back.
