Very quiet and peaceful site with large flat grass pitches. There was only 1 other van when we stayed but even if it had been full there would have been plenty of room around us, From our pitch there was an excellent view over Hell's Mouth.
Access to the site was easy and we were met on arrival by Mair who gave us an information pack and feedback form.
Very convenient location for exploring both the North and South coasts of the peninsula. Also enjoyed the 9 hole pay and play golf course located between Abersoch and Pwllheli.
Thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay.
This is a fabulous site. Very large pitches (not been on bigger - yet!) well spaced out, are cut into the the grassed area. The three front pitches have double aspects, one way looks towards Abersoch and the other to Hells Mouth.
Entrance to the farm drive and actual site is very easy. Notices at the farm door tell you where to pitch if owners are out on arrival. Mrs Owen came to welcome us (and over our stay the other arrivals) when she returned home - presenting us with a useful welcome pack, AND for the first time ever in almost 50 years of caravanning an assessment sheet to complete to give our views on the site and suggest any improvements.
The site is not far from the road to Abersoch but there is no traffic noise on site.
The site is very PEACEFUL only the four legged neighbours - sheep, lambs, cows and calves are to be heard!
ELECTRICITY - the site has now been upgraded to 10amps and we had NO problems at all during our stay and the site was full.
Abersoch is a very busy town with narrow streets and limited parking.
Plenty of good eating places available in the town too.
The surrounding area is very scenic and there are lots of excellent walks in the area.
There is a coastal bus which operates Thurs to Sunday which provides an excellent service to walk start and finish points. Buses to Pwllheli are also available.
THIS IS AN EXCELLENT SITE and we will be returning soon!
Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Nant has the potential to be a great CL site, it is peaceful, tranquil, has excellent views and is central for visiting all surrounding beaches, towns and villages.
The pitches are spacious and spread out across a large field, it is one of the largest CL sites I have visited in the past 4 years, you could not fault it.
Now for the negative part of my review, the site has electric hook ups but they only have a rating of 6 amps. This is insufficient for a modern caravan as you can only plug in one electrical item at a time, other wise it trips out. I had issues heating the van and the water as the electricity supply could not cope with me putting these on, I had to revert to the gas supply from my bottle.
If we were watching the TV and wanted a cup of tea, we had to turn the TV off. I am very modest when it comes to using the electricity on site but it did get annoying with the amount of daily visits I made to turn the trip switch back on. The problem was exasperated if you are sharing an EHU with another caravan.
As I said, it is a lovely site but the power supply issue ruined my holiday.
If this was sorted it would be an excellent site.
We had a peaceful week with beautiful surroundings. The site is easy to reach and not far from abersoch and all the best beaches. The owners were friendly and the views were spectacular. will definitely stay again.
