Little Gem

Having stayed on this quiet, rural site in the past, we thought it was time we returned. Once again we wasn't disappointed. Although states its ½ acres it looks much bigger there were 5 van on 1 night and we had ample of room. The field is well mantained and flat too, there are no restrictions so you can pitch where you want. Ideal location for walking or cycling, York is about 6 miles from the site but a park n ride just up the road, York retail centre's are a short drive away. Quaint Village of Poppleton which has a train station is close by. Harrogate & Knaresborough are around 25 minutes drive if you are planning a days outing. We won't leave it as long next time and for as little as £8 we will definitely be back.

Quiet rural site

Just stayed on this site for 18 nights, so peaceful and tranquil. First time on this site and would use again. Very handy for York having a new park and ride just by the A59, or Poppleton for the train station to either York or Knaresborough/Harrogate. Apparently the waste disposal has recently been changed for the better, we certainly didn't have cause to complain.

Great CL

Just returned home after 5 nights at this great CL. Flat , Level, well mown,  and spacious with good access and free to face whichever way suits best.  Mr & Mrs Walker and daughter very helpful and friendly. One of those CL's you think about keeping to yourself and not sharing but that would not be fair !!.

Lovely peaceful venue, typical country CL. Close to park & ride into York. Hope to come again soon. Good value at £6 per night including awning.

Quiet family dream

We booked this cl to watch the Tour de Yorkshire. Beautifully mown level spacious site in a very quiet rural location. Owner very helpful and friendly. 5 mins from park and ride into York city centre and 20 mins fro Harrogate. Children have very much enjoyed hours of fun playing on the site and exploring on may walks round and about. Great excitement at the cows coming right up to the fence to see us. We are pleased to report a new elsan disposal tank. We will most definitely be back for many more visits as we found it so peaceful and picturesque. A real bargain at just £5 per night.

A grassland farmland setting

This site is in a well mowed grass field, the site is quite exposed which was evident during our stay as it was very windy. Access to the site is off a large country lane with plenty of room for manoeuvring up to and through the farm gate. Unfortunately the toilet disposal point was full to the brim and even on a windy day made the task seriously unpleasant. The owner was very friendly and helpful.
