As someone else has already said, this site is so good that you want to keep it to yourself. It is SO peaceful. The only road noise was a couple of horses clopping by every morning. And yet in minutes, you're on the M6 or in Ilkeston if you need a supermarket. Definitely wins the award for the prettiest chemical disposal area ever too. Not one but TWO dog exercise fields. Only one caravan there when we were and they also had dogs but we let our dog play in the same field as theirs which was lovely. There are an abundance of nice cafes in the area - The Old School House Deli was fabulous. Wanted to try the Cow Shed too but there wasn't time. Great walk to Dale Abbey and the Hermit's Wood and Cave. A little further afield we did Calke Abbey too. We'd definitely like to return!
