Difficult Entrance for Motorhome over 7 metres

Site smaller than the photographs suggest. Entry and departure very tight for larger Motorhomes and long caravan outfits. Wilson Arms has excellent food and is dog friendly. Quiet and peaceful site giving good access to local attractions however no local shop. Lady owner was not at all friendly welcoming or helpful.

I was on site from 16th Apr until 26th during that time the site was mainly full and only one motorhome was over 7 metres plus the extra length of of full car trailer in tow. If that was you then I'm not surprised you found it difficult. One because of your overall length and two because you couldn't handle your outfit when leaving. As a result of a jacknife situation where when turning on the grass (signs said, please don't drive on the grass) the vehicle sunk into the ground and couldn't be moved either forward or back. The car had to be taken off the trailer resulting in the front bumper being ripped off and then assistance had to be sourced from two local builders with a van and towing strap to help pull the motorhome out of the rut. This no doubt must have caused great embarrassment. We went out so didn't witness the problems mentioned getting off site. Finally the elderly site owner was having difficulty running the farm on her own after her husbands death and son being rushed into hospital suddenly the week before. People on site were aware of this so perhaps she could be forgiven if as you thought she was unsociable. So I hope this reply reflects on the tone of your comments

Harry B, your reply shows the correct reflection of the event and the builders were in fact our relations who helped this member out as my mother and my brother who was poorly with pneumonia in hospital were unable to tow him out.
Many thanks for clearly replying with true events as an observer!
