Ups and downs with this site
Not a bad CL, but we were there in wet weather and were expected to leave our car at the entrance. The site is on quite a steep uphill to the entrance and exit is worrying if it is wet. However, the owners have a tractor standing by to pull you out if necessary. The site is excellently positioned for access to Dorset, either East or West, and Bridport is lovely.
On the "down" side, the site is rather run down, with a dilapidated wooden building in the middle. The disposal point is not up to standard. It is obvious that the owners are not caravanners.
I, personally dislike having to pay a booking deposit and then pay in full on arrival. This style of charging may be the norm in the West Country, but we have not met it in other parts of the country.
