Stayed at this CL in August, John and Betty were so nice and helpful, the site is level and very well maintained, you do need to use the green toilet fluid. We had a problem with our hot water and John couldn't have been more helpful, he even had the spare part i needed and wouldn't take anything for it. We cant rate them highly enough and Betty's hanging baskets are gorgeous, we will be back.
Visited several times
We have visited this site several times & will continue to do so ,Betty & John are most accommodating & nothing is too much trouble.
2nd visit
LocalPlacesOfInterest: easy access,
Site: grass, HS; EHU, water and waste; , very friendly
Off site: small village, no shop but 'Baxters Arms' up the road.
Overall; This is the second time we have visited this site. Very friendly and helpful.
Thank you.
Nice little site
Can't fault this lovely little site and the help we received from the owners. Part hard standing, we were asked to use a certain pitch and I attempted to reverse in, getting bogged down in the wet grass in the process.
Mr Hall did his utmost to get us moving again although unsuccessfully. (The RAC did better later).
Apart from a noisy eraly morning pheasant and some very distant train, the site is very quiet and a lovely weekend getaway for us.
Warm friendly greeting
We use this CL when we need to make an overnight stop near to our purchasing dealer near Doncaster. The owner is always on hand to guide us on to our allocated hardstanding pitch which is great for us out of season with a motorhome. Always friendly and backed up by good facilities on site. Nice and quiet and perfect for our purpose. The bonus is the Baxters Arms just round the corner serving good food and a proper pint. If only all CLs were this friendly……….

The very best of help and kindness
We were travelling back from France and I ( the only driver ) had taken ill with a severe attack of Sciatica. We were refused access to the late arrivals area at Cherry Hinton in Cambridge and we were compelled to get nearer to home. Everywhere my wife tried to book was full because of the lovely weather, she eventually tried Mandalay and spoke to Mr Hall, who was nearly full and wasn't taking any more caravans as he was booked with a rally. My wife explained my circumstances and Mr Hall said we would squeeze us in. When we arrived I was very poorly and had to lie down, Mr Hall took over, sited our van, hooked us up and made sure we were ok. A little bit later I had a black-out and collapsed, resulting in my wife having to phone friends in Newcastle who came down and towed us home. Mr and Mrs Hall were so kind and helpful and couldn't do enough to help us. If you get the chance, go and stay with these lovely people. A big thank you from Phil and Joan

Peace And Quiet
Betty and John the site owners are two of the nicest people you could meet. The site is very queit and is allways kept in first class condition. There are plenty of walks from the site and if you like to spot wildlife its ideal. There is plenty to do and see in the area . There is a nice lake in nearby Askern and if you want shopping Doncaster is about 20 minutes away. All in all a loverly location and a loverly site. Yours Riley the Retriever
