I found this new CL site on line as it is not yet in the book. It is owned by George and Isabel McIlroy who own and run Mains of Machermore Farm.It has a good access road right into the site from the A75 near Newton Stewart, all the pitches are level, hardstanding and they are all fully serviced with electric, water and grey waste diposal on all of the 5 pitches so there is no need to bother with any water barrels etc.There is also a lovely shower and toilet in the Wee House along with a good supply of information about the surrounding area. There are good veiws of the surrounding countryside and it is also very tranquil The site is well situated to explore the Solway Firth Coastline or the New Galloway Forest area.It is a site that we will revisit again and that I would reccomend to anyone wishing to stay in this area of Scotland
