Disappointed
Although a lovely area and caravan parkarea clean, tidy and very nicely laid out we cant say it was very welcoming. The turn entering which people have written about was sharp and we had to reverse as nearly missed the site but did manage to turn. Once at the entrance, we were greeted by a couple on barking dogs, one on a chain, who alerted the lady of our arrival. Her greeting was ' go through the gate and take your pick'. No other information was given i.e. toilets, water, waste area etc.
The evening prior to setting off we telephoned the site as there had been heavy rain. The owners answer was 'we're on a hill so we don't flood', however what he failed to tell us was that the grass was exceptional water logged. We were on site for 3 nights during which time we could not use the awning and the carpets inside the caravan were becoming damp and stained. As on a hill ground drainage is obviously an issue.
The morning after our arrival we gathered more information from the male owner once we had asked. We asked about their dogs which had been rambling the caravan field earlier and we were concerned about our small dog. He told us one dog didn't like other dogs, this made us very uncomfortable as we had seen it jump the gate that morning. He said he would keep it chained up if he wasn't around. One of our first jobs was also to removed left dog muck near to the caravan. We don't feel this site should say suitable for dogs without warning its guests.
Sadly we wont be returning however site probably ideal for short says or motorhomes.
