We were overly cautious in visiting 'The Lakes' due to the reputation the weather has in Cumbria, however on arrival we were met by a lovely little CL with an 'away from it all' feel, and views to die for, really more than a CL showers lovely, pitches large off the beaten track, nice walk across the fields of the owners to the only shop for a few miles, and the weather was Fabulous, in fact schools has just started back after the late May BH (which wouldn't have been an issue) so we had site to ourselves for almost a week! i can definitely recommend this site and would visit again if decided to go back to the Lake District.
