July 2013. Having been to Low Hall with our dog we had no problem finding lots of nice walks. There is more than one footpath from the site you can walk through the farm fields on the footpath to Kirkby-in-Furness/Soutergate and onto Kirkby Moor there are many variations and lots of circular routes. So long as you stay on the designated public footpath and respect the countryside code there is no problem walking through the local farmers fields. A beautiful tranquil stay with excellent facilities. Definitely need a car to travel to local beauty spots of which there are many within a 30 minute drive.
