This is a nice little place, very quiet, the owner is a very friendly and welcoming chap, always chatty when you see him.
They are getting things ready to put in a shower block and toilets which will be very nice when complete although no building work was happening while we were on site.
There was a stream behind us which was nice to hear the water trickling by and on the other side of the stream were some cows popping there head through the bushes in the morning to say hello.
We were visited by a dear one morning running across the field.
We were really pleased to be so close to the south coast for such a bargain price and will definitely be going back again!
Pricing not clear
Charged £20pn for site with no facilities, which we thought was rather steep.
Had to contact to confirm booking was still ok as no confirmation from owner.
No instructions re arrival or key code. Had to phone owner on arrival.
Driveway to field needs improving.
Elsan not easy to use.
On a positive note...tranquil location, close to moor and heathland walk.
Need to be more transparent on pricing.
30% hike from what expected
Lovely little hide away
When booking I was asked to call one hour before arrival to make sure that someone would be on site to let us in .
I did this and sure enough a lovely gentleman opened the gate and showed us where we could go, this was anywhere as we were the only ones arriving that day .
He told us the combination of the gate and left us too it .
The owner arrived about an hour later, a very nice gentleman who apologised for the part building which is in progress of being a new toilet/ shower block, looks like it will be amazing when finished,
No work is going on while people are on site so as not to spoil their peace and time away.
Lovely size pitches, plenty of space and views around are of fields and trees, again lovely hide away ,
Great for visiting Bournemouth, Christchurch and souther beaches.
Will definitely return .

So much potential
We booked this site as it was in an area we love, however after some concerns with the recent weather I contacted the owner to ensure the field was fit for purpose as we did not want the caravan to get muddy and spoil the weekend.
We were reassured that the field was in good condition and has held up well even with all the poor weather, with this I did re-read the previous review from 2017 and thought why not go for it and give it a go.
The entrance to the site and 50 yard drive to where the CL field is does leave a lot to be desired but having talked to the new owners they do have some really good plans and I hope they make the changes as this site has a lot of really good potential.
The CL field itself is fairly flat and is split into 2 sections (we would recommend driving past the first section and use the back of the field as this does seem to be the sun trap. There is a lovely little stream running down the back of the CL.
When I arrived Jim had already mowed the lawns and was busy ensuring he was removing as much mown grass as possible as he did not want it to spoil peoples visit by uncut grass all over the pitches.
This site is definitely ideally situated for people who want to visit Bournemouth, Wareham, New Forrest (20 minute drive) and slightly further affeild Southampton, Dorchester, Weymouth and Salisbury (all within and hours drive)
Positives
Quiet and very peaceful
Nicely Kept fields
Friendly owners (Jim could not have done anymore for us
Negatives
Entrance to the CL needs a lot of hard work doing as it is an eye sore and will put people off
Signage definitely needs improving (this is in hand)
Remove the tractors and put in gates
As the owners do not live onsite think about electronic bank transfers for payments
Slightly a higher price currently than could be justified
I would definitely recommend the CL and if all the changes that have been discussed are implemented and the price does not rocket and is kept to the £15 per night fee.
Disappointing
Having stayed before under previous ownership, I was disappointed this time. Firstly the access code had been changed since the booking and access took a long time after a tiring journey. It became evident that two of the five pitches were being used for semi-permanent residents, one had six vehicles visiting,(none of which matched the reg plate on the caravan) which spoiled the tranquillity of the site and I would question their club membership. The main point of CLs is their exclusivity for touring club members. Machinery also cluttered the site. Further disruption came whilst trying to relax on a Sunday afternoon with the long grass being cut within a few feet of our caravan and then not collecting the cuttings which got into everything. With more attention to its' visitors, this could be a nice site once again

An excellent CL
A very spacious site in fact pitches 3,4 and 5 cannot even see each other.
Very quite, a nice site. Facilities are basic, an elsan point and a couple of dustbins for waste, but I guess if you want a big fancy site then you should go to a club site. This, I think, is an excellent CL, good easy access from a main road more or less level but no hard standing. We liked this site a lot and will certainly stay again when In this part of the world.
our stay at Longmeadow
we have just come back from a weeks stay at longmeadow, we did think we had gong the wrong way to get to it but it is their down the lane signed posted for a cattery and kennels.
site is basic with one elston point, few bins. their was a sink with a tap but didnt use it. drinking water taps were spread up the field, three i think.very cleen site.
lots of space the three kids loved it, we had deer in the field next to us, which was lovely to see so close.
great place to stop and easy eccess to every where, we did Moors country park, and Bournmouth no probs and banger caravan raceing at Matchams.
if we go back that way we will stop their again.
