Beautiful site in a great location

This is a lovely site in a superb location for either the coast or the New Forest. Easy to pop down to Highcliffe for a walk first thing and then breakfast in the cliff top cafe overlooking the sea. No parking charges after 30 September either! Lymingtom market is a must on Saturdays. The toilet and shower facilities are probably the best we have seen on any site, a real bonus on a CL. Despite a few lumps and bumps in the middle of the field, the pitch was absolutely level in all directions, so pitching up was easy. The railway runs near the site, so expect a bit of noise but we didn't find it a problem. Coming from Hordle, the site entrance is IMMEDIATELY after the brick railway bridge, look out for it as soon as you have passed the other CAMC site on the same road - we nearly missed it!

Worth a visit

Second visit to Long Acre. Easy to find and pitch allocated and advised on notice board as you enter. Warm welcome from Geoff shortly after arrival on both visits. Large flat pitches overlooking a small field with facilities at end which are included in the price. Was nice to have 4 alpacas in an adjacent field. Railway in a cutting approx. 100m away but didn't detract from site or cause a nuisance. Overall lovely site close to Lymington, Sway and Brockenhurst and easy access to a number of local pubs. Worth going to.

Great site, great location

We loved staying at this site. It was lovely and quiet and within close distance to Lymington, the New Forest, and the south coast. We would definitely stay here again.

An excellent site in a wonderful location

We recently arrived home from an 8 night stay at this site. From the initial booking right up to arrival, Geoff was friendly and communicated information to us. This made arrival really stress free. This site is well maintained, with level generous pitches. With two separate toilets and a shower, the facilities were really good and well maintained. The location is really peaceful and apart from the occasional train going by in the background (not intrusive at all) you felt like you had the location to yourself with just the wildlife for company. Would I recommend to others, yes. Would I come again, definitely. If I had one minor improvement suggestion, level a few of the potholes on the driveway up. There was a 15MPH speed limit, we would never have dared go that fast up it or down it in the car let alone with the caravan attached!

An Excellant Site

We have just returned home from a 6 nights at this site. Can only recommend a stay here. There is plenty of room between the pitches. The toilets and the shower were spotless. Water and waste disposal were conveniently placed. We met the owner on arrival who gave us the lowdown on the surrounding area. There is a train line fairly near to the site but the noise from the trains was not too bad and didn't bother us at all. A Gem of a site.

Outstanding CL Site

Fantastic CL site with a little bit of noise from passing trains. Everything was perfect including the greeting from Geoff. Would definitely visit again.

A lovely CL in the New Forest

Had a lovely peaceful quiet stay on Long Acre Farm at end of July, our second visit this month. arrived and the information board indicated where our pitch was, a good system! Parking up we were greeted cheerfully by Geoff, he took time to chat, told us we could use the whole area around our pitch which was lovely. Nice calm peaceful site, saw Roe deer, Alpacas and pheasants and lots of squirrels in the trees around the site. Little train goes past the site in the distance but is not loud or a nuisance, cannot be seen. Big field, clean and tidy, recycling and bins emptied frequently. Quiet and well maintained site. Visited Pipers Wait the highest point in the forest and Barton on Sea has the best ever fish and chips with sea views 💦 🦌 We had given feedback at the end of our first stay suggesting the toilets could have some cleaning materials and the mirrors were high up for shorties like me, Geoff informed us with a cheeky smile he was waiting for our checking over of his updates. All done to a very good standard and Geoff was happy his campers were happy! A lovely second stay for another 4 nights. This CL is so nice, it's a pleasure to give feedback and we will be back to Long Acre without a doubt 😊👍

Peaceful break - despite the weather!

We’ve just had a very pleasant week at Long Acre, while visiting family nearby. Helpful directions and arrival instructions from owner, who we didn’t actually meet until the day before departure! The site itself and pitch allocated was lovely, under some gentle trees which offered shade (not that we needed it much!). We did have one day of solid rain, the field got very soggy, but was bone dry the next morning, so drains very well. Tv reception was excellent, which was a bonus as it was Wimbledon finals week, and too damp and windy for the beach. We were a bit nervous each time we used the long private track to/from the site, but the one time we did meet another vehicle, we were able to squeeze into a passing area, so no reversing required. The facilities were immaculately clean. I always like a book swap shelf - would be nice if this was encouraged. We could hear the trains, but they weren’t at all intrusive, and didn’t run at night. Garage and Coop both within a half mile and a parade of shops just a little further for take away meals. Large Tesco superstore and fuel within 3 miles at new milton. All in all, everything very convenient for a lovely site.

Visited Hurst Castle, lyndhurst, and watched the Race Around the Island (isle of Wight) We will be back for sure. 🦌
