a fascinating and developing site
We stayed here for three nights in order to visit some of north Pembrokeshire.
This is the first year this site has been open, so dont expect a pristine site. Robert and Jacqui are very welcoming and have lots of ideas about how they want to develop the site.
The field is sloping with flat hard standing pitches cut into the grass. We did not need levelling blocks. All the facilities are new and very clean - water tap, loo disposal, recycling. Rob & Jacqui are currently in the process of adding water to each pitch (grey water into the hedge).
The views over the hills are wonderful. There is a little road noise during the day, but that disappears in the evening and is absolutely quiet at night. The prevailing sound is that of the birds.
The site is surrounded by a willow hedge, and exploring the adjacent willow copse will bring you to the lake!
The site is easy to find and the local village of Crymych will supply your everyday needs. The village fuel station was the cheapest we saw all holiday!!
There is a lot to do in the area; we liked Fishguard lower town, St Dogmaels ruined abbey and flour mill (lots of different flours and breads to buy) and Cardigan.
We would return to this site if in the area.
