Lovely stay

We have just spent a week at Llys y Wenol and would highly recommend this site. The welcome from Gwen and Dave was brilliant. We were given fresh eggs from their chickens and several books and leaflets about places to visit. The pitches were hard standing with EHU and water, grey waste into the hedge. The site was very quiet with views to the mountains in the distance, but not far from Llangefni. Centrally located so able to easily access all points of the island. Will definitely return

Perfect, peaceful and a hidden treasure

Gwen and Davids site is so peaceful and natural. We stayed over New Years Eve and enjoyed every stormy, wet minute of our stay. The site has five pitches and is serviced by a spotless recycling / refuse / toilet disposal area. Gwen has a wealth of knowledge and is happy to share with you, or is happy to leave you be (whichever you prefer.) Night time is so peaceful and with light pollution being low, the sky was stunning. The owners are excited by the local wildlife and on site owls hoot along every night. The location is absolutely superb for exploring Anglesey as its very central and easy to get to. We were delighted with our find and are returning in the Summer. Thank you so much Gwen and David!

Warm welcome and fabulous views

We stayed for 3 nights in our Motorhome in November. Gwen was so helpful right from the minute I chatted to her and booked our stay. She provided us with perfect directions and met us with a smile and loads of local info to help us enjoy our stay. The site is accessible along a gravel track-great for the MH and we selected a hardstanding spot with amazing views to the mountains. Water, grey waste and EHU per pitch. Recycling and bins. Lovely quiet site perfect for stargazing. The local town has a Asda so you can stock up on necessities. Gwen lent us some local knowledge books for walks with our little doggio. Perfectly located for visiting all around Anglesey and of course our favourite Newborough beach/forest 15 mins drive away. Gwen is a lovely host, friendly welcoming and with a real passion for Anglesey. Thanks for having us and we hope to see you again -Victoria, Sean and Dylan 😊

Welsh Gem

Just got back after eight nights from this gem of a cl. We chose this site because it was central to Anglesey and we certainly were not disappointed. Could reach anywhere in less than 30 minutes, and there was lots to see and do, too much to list here ..Llangefni has all you could wish for and all within an easy walk. As said before the pitches are well laid out and you can get a decent view from most. The welcome from Gwen is second to none, the best we have had, and her love for Anglesey shows in the information she provides you with. Peace and quiet prevail, apart from after dark when you can listen and watch the resident Tawny & Barn owls. We spent most of our 8 nights on our own and the island as a whole was very quiet. We wish Gwen & Dave all the best with their future plans and will return in the future.

A real gem of a site!

We stayed at this lovely site for 3 nights over the summer bank holiday. So many good things to say, where do we start...... Our pitch had stunning views to snowdonia and was fully serviced - water, electric and waste water. 5 pitches in total, all nicely spaced with hard standing and the site is lovely and quiet, with the only noise we heard at night being the resident owl! The chemical toilet and waste area was nicely fenced off and very tidy / clean. Gwen's knowledge of the island is fantastic, and her welcome greeting provided lots of ideas for trips out and leaflets as well. Location wise the site is absolutely perfect for exploring the island with the nearest beach just 15 mins away. We will certainly stay here again!

Gwen and Dave made us feel very welcome to site. Great location for exploring the island and easy access to local shops. Site kept very tidy and Gwen has great knowledge of the island to help you make the most of your stay. Thanks Gwen and Dave, good luck with your future plans developing and extending the business. Can recommend Ali’s Spice, great curry.

End of May bank holiday -Mr and Mrs Walsh

Stayed at this lovely quiet site over the last May bank holiday. Dave and Gwen were so welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. The views were amazing and it was so peaceful. This site is definitely worth a stay and we will most certainly be returning.

Superb Location.

We arrived to be greeted by Gwen who gave us one the warmest greetings we have had at a CL. As well as explaining where all the facilities where she also gave us some tips as to which places to visit seeing as this was our first visit to Anglesey. Each hard standing pitch was fully serviced with ample space for your caravan, motorhome, awning and car. Although the site itself is small it was very well laid out with more than enough space between pitches. The view from the CL is superb with the Snowdonia range in full view. Although only a mile from Llangefni the CL had a very rural feel to it, and you felt you were in the middle of nowhere with peace and quiet in abundance. Location was excellent with all sides of the island within a 20 minute or so drive, some parts a lot less. With supermarkets only being a 5-minute drive away it seemed to us an ideal base to explore the island. This site is relatively new, and they are going to be making improvements over the years but that said it is an ideal site as it is. Now I must mention that the owners have a very friendly dog named Noah, and although it was nice to see him roaming around the site, we noticed that he left his calling card on some of the pitches. Now we have a dog and always pick up after her, but I was a little displeased in having to pick up after someone else’s dog. But that is the only negative of this site. One other thing to note, we followed the direction to the site with no problem but we found that instead of taking the A5025, B5420 route it was better staying on the A55 and taking the A5114 exit to Llangefni then using the ring road through the industrial estate, far less of a bumpy ride!
