With arms waving and a massive smile we were welcomed to this new CL site and what a treat it was! The owners have developed their land into really generously sized pitches, bordered by rustic fencing and newly planted mixed hedging. No need for spirit levels or blocks, this site is impressively level. Each designated pitch has its own electricity and water supply, with pressure to knock your socks off and even a thoughtfully added pull-out washing line. The icing on my husband’s cake was the fishing lake offering a variety of species and the heart stopping 15lb carp that was eventually landed. A fenced paddock for dog walking or the network of public footpaths for further afield straight from site. Surrounded by open countryside, skylarks hover, calling loudly before dropping to nests in the maize and rapeseed fields and pheasants and grouse sprint road-runner style in the margins. My advice? Go now, before you can’t get a booking because this CL is going to be a favourite – and I’ve not even mentioned the chickens and fresh eggs!
