This CL is fantastic. Lisa and David could not be more friendly if they tried.
The facilities are spotless and regularly checked, EHU is included in the price and there are no hidden charges.
The farm animals, dogs and children are an added bonus.
There is a lot to see in the area and, being almost in the centre of Kent everything is relatively easy to get too.
If you like vintage air raft an added bonus are Tiger Moth and Spitfire airplanes flying overhead fro Headcorn airfield only a few miles away. Vintage Steam Trains also run from Tenterden, just down the road.
All in all there is nothing not to like about this CL - we hope to be back soon.
A very friendly and quiet campsite.
We did have a very warm welcome by the owners David and Lisa. We could pitch everywhere we liked on the site.David and Lisa are very helpful. The facilities are basic but immaculate all the time. The site is very quiet what we appreciate very much. You have a view on fields with sheep, horses and two Alpacas .
we visited the airshow on the nearby Headcorn airfield ,which was terrific. we have had a very nice stay.
Easter weekend
We spent the Easter weekend here and would have put in a review earlier had I known how to do it. This is a great little site with views onto the surrounding countryside. I have to hand it to David as the weather was awful and rather than cancel us he laid a hardstanding access and pitches for 5 vans.
Access is tricky and needed us to reverse into the pitch area but there were lots of helpful vanners around to assist.
It has a basic toilet and shower but of course most of us have facilities on board so not a huge problem.
Areas of interest are not far so it is well placed but there are no pubs/restaurants within walking distance, and as the road is narrow and poorly lit I'm not sure I'd risk it anyway.
The farm also has eggs available which is very handy. Overall a lovely stay and would go back in the future.
Coronation Weekend Break
We spent the Coronation weekend at Little Davlis Farm. The site is level with four hardstanding pitches and newly laid access road. Facilities are basic but functional. Toilet is shared with the shower area so can get busy. Some road noise into the early evening but not too intrusive. A great place to relax and enjoy the Kent countryside. Easy access to Ashford for the designer village, Bodiam and Sissinghurst castles. The owners make you very welcome and very proud to show what they have achieved with their farm.
Very friendly family, well run site
We found this to be a really well thought out site with a nice shower, toilet, book swap and information area.
The family are all lovely and make you feel very welcome, nothing is too much trouble. It is a lovely farm with plenty of animals to interact with.
Set on a rather busy road but with the bonus of lots of public footpaths for some great walks.
We would highly recommend this site as it is lovely and laid back, perfect for a chilled break!
Lots of space and very helpful owners
I stayed at this site in July 2022 for 4 nights. The site is open with trees between the field and the lane, which has some (but certainly not frequent) traffic noise. Pitches are flat and power is available for all. Useful to have a long cable. The site is in easy reach of lots of Kent attractions and also East Sussex, e.g. Sissinghurst, Rye. The site has shower, toilet and tourist information all combined in converted shed. All very clean and well maintained. David was very friendly and most helpful when I managed to leave something behind, which he kindly sent on to me. I certainly visit again.
Great little CL with great owners
Freedom to pitch as you like on a nice flat field. Facilities were always immaculate. Bonus for little people are the Alpacas, horses and lambs!
Absolute Gem of a site
Lovely site, Lovely family that own it, superb facilities (Toilet-shower) and information room with brochures of things to do in the surrounding area. it was nice to be on a site where we felt so welcome Lisa and her family are lovely and very accommodating. My 3yo daughter absolutely loved going to see the lambs everyday and a bonus she had a great time with the youngest of the family lily 😊 we will definitely be returning soon! and would highly recommend this site to anyone who wants to enjoy a nice and relaxed time with amazing views. Thank you for a pleasant stay x
absolutely lovely site
ok. so this is a hard review to write as the site is really nice. it sits on a working farm and the landscape is beautiful with dog walks straight off the field. Here are the tiny issues that we encountered and i wanted to include them as the owners have only just started offering a CL site and i hope this review helps.
the two electric hook ups are right on the field entry, so, should you hook up, you are very close to the field entry and the farm, which leads me to the second point. The farm has some lovely working collies but they can bark a little, so should you camp too close to the farmhouse may be a little noisy. I didn't mind it but i am sure some people may find it irritating.
Lastly; the field had recently been used for sheep and so there was alot of sheep poo in the field, making it tricky not to walk it into the camper.
Saying all that i would definitely stay again, the owners are lovely and surrounding areas beautiful . i hope this info helps, don't avoid the site though, just be aware of these points.
Beautiful Peaceful Welcoming Site
Stayed here for a couple of nights. Lovely country lanes. Dave and Lisa made us feel very welcome. Enjoyed some lovely country walks and cycled around the lanes to the local pub The Bull - had a yummy meal there. Our two dogs were very happy here. Ideal for stopover to Dover ferry. Cannot recommend more highly.
