Nice field. Friendly welcome, all facilities you need. Lots of space, good location. Some road noise, early morning included, the main road to Dorchester. Shower warm only. Not as clean as we would have liked, toilet not cleaned while we were there, 3 days.
Great Way to End Lockdown
A gem of a site. Great welcome on arrival. Spent 4 wonderful days there. Two pubs within walking distance and lovely villages to visit.
Will be booking a stay again.
Thanks Jan and Eric.
This site is only "Little" by name
We arrived on the 10th July with a view to spend 7 days and move on but stayed for 16!
Firstly the owners "Yorkshire lass" Jan and husband Eric were everything you could want from site owners. They were attentive, knowledgeable and very hands on.Eric juggling full time work with Jan a nurse who was very helpful with everything.
The site has new showers and toilet with plenty of water and electric points for everyone.
It's flat and green and you are able to position your unit practically anywhere .
It's in great position (although someone moaned about a bit of road traffic) for all the beaches, castles,Etc.
We will certainly be back to a site and it's owners who are a credit to the club.

Convienient for exploring this area
Excellent site for visiting the surrounding places of interest. The addition of toilet and shower were worth the extra money. Noise from the main road was minimal considering they were re-laying the road. Will certainly visit again.

Back again
We have been coming to this Site every year for the past 6 years & each year more improvements have been made to what was already a perfect Site. It is ideally situated for exploring the Dorset Coast, Lulworth Cove Swanage & Weymouth all within 30 minutes, Bournemouth, New Forest in the East, Lyme Regis to the West all accessible and centrally placed for exploring inland Dorset. Janice & Eric couldn't be more helpful & friendly. Good pubs for food and excellent Village Shop. Joined the Club in 1972 & have used CLs all over Britain and this is probably the best CL we have stayed on we stay here for 2 weeks each year before going to Devon & Cornwall.

Unpleasant stay
Stayed here for one week in May with my husband and two children. We were welcomed by the owners daughter, who was very nice and friendly. The site is situated on a main road, so if you don’t mind road noise then this is great for exploring surrounding areas. As well as road noise, there was late night noise from tractors in the neighbouring field, which did keep us awake some nights. There is a pub opposite, which is great for having a drink - I wouldn’t recommend the food, it’s very basic and overpriced. The site is not a typical 5 caravan cl site, there were 11 caravans/motorhomes when we were there but we still had plenty of room. Unfortunately we didn’t find the owner very friendly and she did make our stay an unpleasant one. Jan came to speak to us on two occasions, the first time was to tell my two young children to go and play with their lightweight plastic ball by the sheds so as not to upset the old people. The second time was half way through our holiday, and it was to tell us to take our groundsheet up - apparently we’d been told at the time of booking and on arrival, which we hadn’t and had the booking emails to prove it. This upset us as we would not of stayed on the site if we’d known this. We had a lot of stuff in our awning, and did not want to put everything directly onto the grass. We are a respectable family, and are more than happy to any abide by any rules, we just felt that they could’ve been communicated in a better way. We got the feeling that they don’t really like families. I emailed Jan and Eric when I returned home to express our feelings, and they didn’t reply!
We have been staying on cl sites for many years and this has been by far the most unpleasant.
PERFECTION
We returned on the 26/03/17 after spending 7 wonderful days on this site. We only use CLs and out of the 30+ we have stayed on over the last 5 years this without doubt was one of the best.
On arrival we were met by the owners who welcomed us like friends. They advised us were to pitch, bearing in mind the heavy rain over the previous few days, then spent time showing us the site facilities. The single Toilet was spotless and was obviously well maintained, The grey water and chemical waste disposal points have been well thought out and constructed and were by far the best I have ever come across. In addition there is a useful information point with leaflets on places of interest as well as maps covering the local walks.
The grass is mowed weekly regardless of the weather and all cuttings are mechanically collected so you will not be treading grass into your van.
The site itself is perfectly located for visits to the famous Jurasic Coast, with Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door being no more than 7 miles away. Weymouth, Dorchester and Werham are also close at hand for those that want to shop.
We will most certainly be returning when we visit Dorset again and thank Eric and Janice for providing us with a lovely place to stay.
Pleasant Stay
this is the third time that we have stayed here, it is well kept and reasonably flat. Access is easy but there is a fair amount of road noise, but you soon ignore that. The owners always make you feel welcome. You must expect all things on small holdings, but we did find the six pigs in the adjacent garden plot a bit whiffy when the wind was our way. The site offers you plenty of opportunity for exploring the wonderful Dorset coastline, and there is a nice pub opposite.

Best to avoid if very wet
We stayed here at the end of March 2014 and after a very wet winter the water table is still high. Pitch we were allocated was soft but seemed dry...The next day we had a torrential downpour - everything in the awning was standing in water. Spoke to owner told to move where we wanted to, trouble was finding somewhere that was dry. we moved to a slightly higher pitch..not the owners fault really as they also have a small river running along one side and with a high water table...best to avoid if we have had prolonged wet weather owners v friendly and welcoming and very dog friendly. Road only a problem with noise at morning and evening rush hour.

Excellent CL
We could not have been made more welcome by Janice and Eric. A lovely spacious CL and beautifully kept a perfect centre for exploring Dorset. Cannot wait to go to Little Birch again.
