I am in two minds about writing this review. On the one hand, the site is beautiful and the Carruthers are the nicest site owners you could meet. On the other hand, if you book a pitch it might mean there's no room for us to go again! What can I say? The site is a perfect gem, right next to the most beautiful medieaval Abbey. Colin and Sandra are the perfect hosts and if you like vintage tractors and farm machinery you will be in heaven ( my husband was). The surrounding fields have lovely Galloway cattle grazing and Colin has some nice chickens to look at and a friendly pair of beautiful goats. The area is tranquil and welcoming with a little bit of everything: hills, coast, fields, historic sites. We just loved it. Yes we will be back. In fact, it might be a while before we go anywhere else. (NB: the EE mobile signal is almost non-existent so take a back-up means of keeping in touch with home if you need to)
