What a beautiful site. TBH we couldn't get booked onto the CL so stayed in the owners private site. Both CL and Private are well worth the visit. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic, far enough from Dumfries to be rural, close enough to be handy. Just down the road is the lovely village of New Abbey. The drive to coastal towns with beaches is straight forward. Also, we booked into an art session that was being held at Shambellie House, which is a 20 minute walk from the site. They run lots of different activities, well worth it. All in all a fantastic stay. Will hopefully return in the future.
