We have just spent the bank holiday weekend at what is advertised as Lakeside Meadow CL site Ednaston in Derbyshire. What wasn't clear on the site details is they also have another site called Heritage Wood. We booked on this but our fault as we assumed it would be very similar. How wrong could we be this is a memorial wood so felt as though we were pitched in a cemetery. The Heritage Wood site also looks as though the 5 pitches have been put around what had been a car
park. There was a gap in the fence directly behind our pitch which at one point must have been an entrance to the wood. We had a stream of people through the site obviously paying their respects with flowers and using the water tap behind our caravan, as much as I felt we should be able to say something. There is a sign advising people at the gate it is for CAMC members only it just didn't feel appropriate. On a positive note the couple of people we spoke to when we checked in were lovely, there is EHU and water on each pitch. Just not for us it was a similar
