Excellent CL

We have just returned home from this great little CL, what a find it was. As you turn onto the drive way in it soon opens up into an extremely beautiful lakeside large grassed area. We were met shortly after arrival by a very pleasant gentleman who told us where to find everything & the local walks etc. It was probably the best CL that we have found up to yet, it was lovely & peaceful & we can thoroughly recommend it to anyone. The owner was very helpful when I realised that the normal departure time was 10.30 but we were heading on to Chatsworth club site so we couldn’t get in until 1pm, I rang him & he happily agreed that we could depart any time before 12pm which was a great help to us for our onward journey. We will certainly plan to revisit in the near future.

Just what we were waiting for

After weeks of Lockdown we just wanted to get away. Whilst in lockdown I have trawled through the website - site after site. We have never used our caravan's shower always opting for sites with facilities but as things stood we realised that going down the CL route may now be our best option. Our first break Lakeside Meadow, Ednaston, has won us over. A beautiful peaceful site. Lots of scenery on the site, gorgeous trees and lots of bird life. The large lake with the enormous fish. This site shows that the owners Tim and Jill really care about their customers. They have got the measure right. Each pitch ehu, water and waste a good telephone and tv signal. From the moment you enter the private drive you can feel that this site is something special. 10 out of 10 in our books and we've been to some of the most exclusive all singing and dancing sites. The personal touch, a great space, fresh air. Well done we will be back - no mistake....

Top site

We have just had a wonderful stay at Lakeside which is the most beautiful, peaceful and fantastic site. The owners, Tim and Jill are very helpful and this must rate as the best CL in England. We would happily recommend this to everyone.

THE best CL site we have ever visited

Lakeside meadow CL has to be in contention for CL of the year, access is fantastic, set well back from the road, local to numerous beautiful scenic places to visit during your stay. The site itself is immaculate and is a credit to the owners. My wife and I and our little maltichon absolutely loved it. There are walls around the lake where if you want to can make friends with the ducks, geese and not forgetting the shoals of carp (that all like to be fed) we will definitely be returning to Lakeside in the not too distant future. Well done to Tim and Jill for making the site what it is.

Best CL I have ever been to

This is the best Cl site I have been to in 20yrs of caravaning. The pitches are spacious and all fully serviced. The actual site is delightful with lots of different kinds of trees and a beautiful lake with lots of big carp swimming about. There is a walk around the site to take your dog which is just long enough. If you want a longer walk Heritage Wood is just over the road. The owners are very pleasant and helpful and I was blown away with the whole package to such an extent that I booked to go again.

A perfect setting for peace & tranquility.

Just returned from this wonderful CL, if your looking for peace & tranquility this us it. A lovely setting, plenty of space between caravans and just to make it even better each pitch serviced with it's own water tap, electric point & pebbled waste water soak away, even the loo waste is under cover with everything you need to make that job easy. A very relaxing place & if your there on a Wednesday you can listen to the local bell ringers. As a previous reviewer commented this site must be a contender for CL of the year!

A contender!

This must be a contender for c.l. of the year ! A very spacious, quiet site, serviced pitches, well thought out, and cared for. Lovely outlook over a small lake, easy access to points of interest, and pubs nearby. Owner very helpful.

Great Site

What a cracking site. We went for August Bank Holiday 2018 and they had not long opened. We was made very welcome and the site owner was very helpful he was even happy to get us fresh wood for the fire pit. We used the fire pit one evening and was nice just sitting out round an open fire when all you can hear is wildlife. It is such a quiet site well away from the main road ideal for a relaxing weekend. Would be worth going back again.

Best Site in Derbyshire

Lakeside Meadows is beautifully laid out, affording excellent space for each pitch, all with dedicated water and electricity hook up, and overlooking the magnificent lake and countryside views beyond. On the weekend that we visited, we had nearly 24hrs of constant heavy rain,.but the site drained so well that you would never have known so much rain had fallen. The site is so peaceful, set well back from local traffic but so convenient for beautiful countryside walks and visiting local market towns and local hostelries, the Red LIon was our favorite, but plenty to choose from. If your planning to visit the beautiful county of Derbyshire, you will not find a better site than Lakeside Meadows! Steve and Linda
